Finny 5,641
I like him and think if he gets played to his strengths ie a playmaker with no pace he can do well for us. ayrshireranger
left winger 14,658
I’d happily give an in-form Hagi a new contract. An out injured for ages Hagi, not so much. ayrshireranger
Somemightsay7 2,579
I'm fine with this. If we get him back and in form, we don't want him having 6-12 months left on his deal and having to sell him straight away. It looks like Beale is planning to get rid of a lot of the old guard and he's making sure the younger guys are tied down first and committed to the club. Moody Blue 9,531
No bad thing improving the contract situation to avoid the farce of those running them down but it’s strange given he’s not kicked a ball in a year. It is panto season though.
ayro 3,155
Ok with this, right age and gives some contract protection. If Beale can get the best out of him, he will be a good saleable asset. Finny

East Enclosure Row N 2,861
Another contract for a player with a huge injury history. Has Ross Wilson learned fuck all from the AGM? rabc10000
Prso's headband 35,935
I like Hagi and think he’s a good player but nothing sums up Mr I don’t make the signings more than handing a guy whose been injured for 12 months a longer contract Leftpegcoopz11

Loyal72 12,239
It's actually a good bit of business from us, finally. Galatasary fans are choking to buy him up because of his dad, if he comes back and looks to have recovered well. We'll at least make money. Somemightsay7 2,579
The same people complaining now would have been the same people complaining if he went into next season with less than 12 months left on his contract. RW could bring in Messi on a free transfer in the summer and they would be complaining he's too old. BearInTheToon

They don't really exist in the way some fans think they do. There's this weird assumption players will agree to go unpaid if they don't play but the few PAYP deal there are are typically just a slightly reduced basic wage with substantial appearance bonuses.
