I scratch my head at what we paid for him but.... Schalke paid £11m for him 3yrs ago.

We've signed some shite over the last 10yrs, but a lot of that shite has been free or cheap. Matondo cost quite a lot of money. Of guys we've spent 7 figures on - maybe only Sebo looked less of a footballer.

Candeias was a decent player for us but Matondo's ceiling is higher, albeit he's been fucking woeful for us so far.

Anybody who thinks Glenn Middleton should be on that list has a short memory.

When Kent was injured, he was playing for 3 Rangers teams in one week and scoring for every one.

When Kent was fit, Gerrard fucked him out on loan after loan for two and a half years to be forgotten about, then finally let him go to Utd. All this despite him having a five year contract.

He's played for every Scotland age group and there is a player in there. Who's going to be our left winger when our most technically gifted player pisses off at the end of the season? Remember Middleton was only a teenager when he last played for Rangers.

He's not in Kent's class, but I'd welcome him back. Only turns 23 on 1st Jan. Wasted at Tannadice.
