Was going to post this in the Scottish Football thread, but felt it was interesting enough for its own thread.

Comes across as a thoroughly likeable chap and makes some interesting comments about managing Hearts (whilst being respectful towards Livi throughout the video).

Clearly a passionate, loyal and decent bloke who was has learnt from his lessons in life.

Watched that but still waiting for the martingale interview 🤬

Will watch tonight, comes across brilliantly on the open goal interviews, was surprised at how open and willing to make jokes about his past he was.

Talked about Hearts in that interview as well, must really want that job. Think he would do well with a bigger budget.

If he were to go onto hearts and do reasonably well for them, would folk want him if Beale either moves on/doesn't work out?

He'd have to do fantastically well to be in with a chance of a job here. Like split the top two and have a run in Europe.

Agree with the second point, but honestly don't think splitting the top 2 is happening with any manager at their budget. No even pep man.

Brilliant!

When you've someone standing in front of you showing that you can turn your life around, it can make all the difference.

For plenty listening to him he's probably the only positive male role model they've ever had to listen too.

And i guarantee if asked, he'll say he gets so much outta doing stuff like that, helps him as much as he's helping them.

Top Man!

It really was despicable how much scrutiny was deliberately forced on him publicly by the SFA/SPFL when he got the Livingston job. He’d been coaching, partly volunteering, for years and they had no issue with it.

Then all of a sudden all these charlatans decide they need to let him know his place and that he still needs fully checked now that the cameras were on him.

It was disgraceful.

It’s basically the same with goodwillie, played for Clyde for years, signed for Raith then it all kicked off for whatever reason

The ethically and morally pure former First Minister had a lot to do with that albeit I’ll admit myself not really knowing much other than the obvious about his case
