I’m most sad to see the back of Arfield. He’s just a solid, reliable pro. Never rocked the boat, always gave 100% and was always humble.
 
I remember an interview earlier this year when, in response to a question about being offered a new contract, he said he understood he was low priority. It just showed that he put the club first and knew his place, in the best way. 
 
Wish him nothing but the best going forward.

Wright is a likeable guy. He's never spat the dummy and any time he's been asked to do a job he's came on and tried. Think he might do well given space to run.  Hope it goes well for him just wasn't good enough imo.

The fact that Matondo never got on for me is pretty telling. Hopefully we are working behind the scenes trying to get him moved on.

Ridvan was okay but showed some of the poor defensive play that our fullbacks are always going to show when being asked to play so high up the pitch. At 1-0 Ridvan was caught up field when Hagi lost the ball for the umpteenth time then struggled to get back as we were caught on the break. Really should have been 1-1 as the Hibs player missed an absolute sitter.
Hagi was awful. Kept giving the ball away then falling on his arse. Then he scored and was like peak De Bruyne for 10 minutes 😂 before going off.

Not saying Ferguson applies here specifically, but our fans say that about every SPFL player and have been proven wrong several times 

Would absolutely love for McCrorie to step up and become the new McGregor, but its too big a risk.
We at least need someone in who we know is better than McLaughlin and will at minimum push McCrorie to fight for a space.

For someone with so much pace, he really doesn’t like taking a man on unless he’s already into his stride before he receives the ball. 
 
A lot of occasions on Saturday, he faced his man up then turned back and played an easy pass. Was like watching Borna/Kent, albeit slightly different positionally. 

We massively fumbled the ball with him. 

He wS great in his first game against Ross County then had a tough time of it in the Old Firm as basically all our team did. From that point he was basically frozen out until the last couple of weeks of the season.
It was clear as day he had ability and the failure to use him was one of GVB’s big domestic mistakes last year.

I actually think we missed a trick with Diallo.....he was judged more or less on that horror show at the piggery and never recovered from it....personally that ship has sailed

Stopped them having 3 or 4 shots today by coming out sharp. Genuinely would’ve stopped us conceding so many goals this season. The Jota one at parkhead for example from the Souttar pass back just doesn’t happen because McCrorie is off his line quicker and his starting position is higher.

Literally had to go to Morocco for us to finally beat them this season. 
 
The result has been a long time coming and we absolutely bossed them. Cantwell is incredible, Raskin was great, Souttar and Goldson were rock solid, McCrorie reliable again (and how fucking great is it to have a keeper who can actually rush off his line for through balls) and Ridvan looked really solid. 
 
Beale got his tactics spot on for the third game against them in a row. I’m delighted for him that he’s finally been rewarded with a good result. 
 
I’ll book my flights back to Marrakech for the next Old Firm - there’s worse ways to watch the match!
 

I’m usually ever the optimist with new signings, but been proved wrong a few times in recent years expecting more from some of the duds we have signed.
I expected cantwell to be a bit of a luxury player who would go hiding when things didn’t go his way.
sometimes it’s good to be wrong!

Hopefully the dissenting voices will pipe down now and allow the guy the time and the patience needed to put this squad back together.

If that’s the type of player that Beale has his eyes on I think we’re going to be ok folks.

The season’s been a nightmare but if we’re handing out blame, I don’t think Beale’s anywhere near the top of the list. Gerrard, GVB, and Caixinha all got a summer. He needs one too. It’s a pity he’s inheriting a shit-show of a situation - which I genuinely think any manager would struggle to fix - but he needs a chance to turn it around. 

Morelos will be off in the summer (thankfully) and Beale can be judged on his own merits once he’s working with a squad that’s not filled with finished players.
