He’s too angry to manage us. The mhedia would wind him up at every opportunity and he’d bite. Plus he’d probably end up knocking one of their mob out in a kebab shop in the west end. Brilliant guy but not the right fit for us in my opinion.

I agree, something's not quite right here. Two weeks ago he nailed his colours to the mast. We are in all cup competitions and top of the league. We win the league this season and SG walks away in May, £40 million delivered to the club, job done, back where we belong, finishing his project and leaving with kudos. So what's happened for him to bite at the Villa job. He must know what potential consequences lie ahead for us to lose our management team at this stage of this season. I thought he appeared quite brazen when spotted yesterday, almost as if he has something up his sleeve as to why he's bailing out just now. Interesting day ahead.

Newcastle were also looking for a manager. Why so happily settled two weeks ago and so quick to move two weeks later.

Are we all really bad judges of character? SG is a loyal person by trait. He was committed to this project 2 weeks ago and now he is moving. Something doesn’t add up in my view

Does no one else think that this is a decision that has been driven by the news coming out about our 23 million losses?
2 weeks ago he says he is happy and settled. Then the financial results are headline news. Next thing you know He is in talks with mid table fodder in the EPL.

I know such speculation is going to be regarded “scum chat” or dismissed as unstaunch but there simply has to be an explanation. SG is a smart man and I am very concerned what suddenly changed for him.

I think we have to realise that every player has an individual character
Some will thrive in the big crowds and raise their game, some will be neither up nor down and their game will be the same in any environment …..and then there are some who will shirk under the pressure
i think we have all those types in our team. In the glory days we had very few shirkers. But I believe this squad have more than we can consistently compensate for.
Folk say “well how come we have won in front crowds”? That’s when your shirkers have managed to muddle through on the backs of the others.

Folk say “but it takes balls to come back” yeah collectively a team can come back but shirkers are going to make it harder.

Even shirkers can shine but their average performance under pressure will be significantly poorer than their average performance when there is no pressure.

“I do not care that Rangers think they are 150 years old “
yes she does. She cares a great deal and that is really what this all boils down to . They wanted us dead and it never happened so they have spent the last 24 hours gnashing their teeth at a positive Rangers story about our long and successful history and came up with this pish

    There's no agenda, though.
Going after this stuff makes it clear that the genuine motive here isn't to address racism, it's to 'other' Rangers and our fans. To develop us as a demon in root and branch style. What's the saying; Nationalists don't need a god, but they do need a devil?
If anything, tweets like that attacking innocent stuff damages the genuine fight against racism. Beneath it all, I think this is more about nationalism than racism, though.

Never seen this level of outrage from the junkies when Beaton cheated us against them a few years ago.

You'd think there is some sort of debate on their red at the weekend reading their comments.

The outrage I am reading on social media about the red card and the “offside” goal that wasn’t offside is seriously ominous.

The referee is taking absolute pelters over this. The hatred and vitriol directed at him is back to levels witnessed back in 2010 when the ref strike happened. The refs in Scotland are genuinely not very good but the abuse they are subjected to is off the scale and when they get decisions correct, the mainstream media, the clubs and the governing bodies should come out in strong support and encouragement of those decisions.
With this dark and sinister targeting of refs being cranked up again, we could be heading once again to the bleak days of strikes.
