Spot on Bud ...... If he was fit enough to play the game he would be my first choice as an attacking midfielder .... and my second choice as a whole defending back four.

The way he expertly fielded question after question about this Dundee farce would make him my Player/Manager of the year also ..... 😛

He certainly knows how to deal with the press, always polite, but never gets drawn into places he does not want to be.

Dundee's pitch is that bad it's going to be an issue going forward, not just for our game I would think.

A solution needs to be found that allows some sort of consistency going forward that minimises disadvantage or giving advantage to Dundee's opponents in one off games for the remainder of their league games and allow games to be attended by fans. This isn't just an us v Celtic thing.

The SPFL can only fine Dundee for the state of the pitch, like they did with Motherwell. They can't tell them to enter into agreements with other clubs, Dundee need to do that on their own, but they can be sanctioned to the point where they need to do it.

I would be fining them for the first and second postponements of our games and any postponements going forward. This would put Dundee in a position where they have to come to a commercial agreement with another club for the remainder of the season, or risk being fined every game with a potential threat of failing to fulfil their fixtures and having points deductions / awards of 3-0 losses.

I would hope that would mean Dundee would be in a position where they would have to go to United, or St Johnstone or whoever and pay them for the use of their ground for the rest of the season, and in United's case, come to an agreement on installing the VAR equipment there. United are likely going to need it next season anyway so they may welcome that.

If it doesn't exist, clubs should be trying to force a rule change in the summer that would give the SPFL the power to direct Dundee in the summer to either pay the money to fix the drainage, or nominate another ground for the entirety of the 2024/25 SPFL season.

I can't really blame the SPFL at all for this situation, it is down to Dundee, and those morons Nelms and Drysdale.

I just don't believe the SPFL would have been so disinterested if it had been the tarreirs who were in our situation.

They run the league and should have been taking the lead in sorting it out long before it got to this Wednesday. All IMO of course.

Always worth reminding them that they've only conceded two penalties thus far and there is only 6 games to go in the league. :violin:

Genuinely mind boggling the mental gymnastics they do to try frame themselves as the victim after having incredible success since 2012. It really is the highlest level of entitlement

Yes, with having everything their own way for so long, they have lost all common sense and cannot deal with us challenging them once again.

Has this ever happened before? Don’t think I can remember such a thing! Joke of a club and the SPFL are also to blame. Scottish football doing itself no favours here. Cunts will be laughing at us.

if Dundee can’t host the NEXT game then they need punished. Force them to play elsewhere or deduct them points and give us 3 points.

Even if is just playable, it could even the game up and injure players at this crucial time of the season.

The fact the SPFL has not said today the game will be moved to a stadium that will be playable and in good condition tells me they are happy to fuck us up as much as possible.

We are now going to play 3 games in 7 days. Every other team will be suitably rested. Its not about hearts or worrying but through no fault of our own we are the semi finalists who have the least amount of recovery time and also have the double risk of injury at either county or Dundee

I do not believe the tarriers would have had to put up with this clusterfuck.

The SPFL would have moved the game on Sunday to a stadium that was going to be playable tonight, so it could be played.

That’s an absolute joke. What if it passes the pitch inspection and then gets called off closer to KO because it’s pissed down all day?

Absolutely shocking for a club in a top league. No wonder the TV deals we get are so shite with amateurs like these in the league.

That unfortunately is the forecast, heavy rain from mid-day, the only hope is that they have got the forecast wrong.

Inspection at 11am tomorrow. Ideal it seems. 🙄

All the weather forecasts I have seen over the last few days, and the one you have put up, is for it to be dryish overnight and then start to piss down from mid-day. That makes an 11am inspection pointless.

It is a clusterfuck that we are being put in this position in such an important game.

It pissed down in Dundee overnight mate and is still on now. If the forecast is correct, that won’t change for the next couple of days. I’ve not heard anything about the pitch at Dens as yet, but I think it’ll be a struggle for them to have that pitch playable for tomorrow.

Thanks for that update mate, we will all be looking out for your next ones tonight and tomorrow.
