I think the key to a deal here will be some sort of substantial sell on fee. As alluded too he probably isn’t setting off alarms over Europe just yet but could certainly be that player in a season or two. I think Brighton will see they need to sell or sign this season. 5ish mill from us and a 30% sell on might seal it.

What I really like about Cortez is that he doesn’t over complicate things. Does the simple things well and nothing flashy (although he did fluff a pass into the box today by trying the old  ‘look one way kick the ball in the opposite direction’).
It’s early days, but him (and Diomande) appear to be an upgrade on what we’ve had.
