Seriously? Murty showed the fans total disrespect by hugging the celtic manager after we had been absolutely slaughtered by them. It could have been 10 goals against us that day. I was glad that at least somebody had the balls to show some passion and have a go at the way we played. It was a joke. Lee Wallace could have fkd off with the rest of the rats and still had an international career but he gave the club and fans much needed stability in our darkest hour (regardless of his reasons for staying). He has been treated disgracefully by our club IMHO.

Steven Gerrard warns Rangers flops they’ll be bombed out of squad if they don’t move on
The likes of Kyle Lafferty, Borna Barisic and Eros Grezda have failed to impress and could leave this summer
HARDLINE Steven Gerrard has told his Rangers duds they’ll be bombed out if they won’t move on in the summer.
Gerrard aims to hold talks with contracted players he wants OUT of the club.
Gerrard will hold talks with players he wants to leave
And that could see the likes of Kyle Lafferty, Borna Barisic and Eros Grezda being shown the door after failing to impress.
Gerrard knows they could sit tight and see out their deals — but warned they’ll be frozen out of his top-team plans.
He said: “It’s not a problem for me.
“Of course, in an ideal situation they’ll go and find the right club to make them happy and get to play football.
“If they decide they want to stay then there is nothing I can really do about that.
“But I can’t have people hanging around my squad being a drain or energy zapper within the group.
“My group will be tight and full of people who will be playing and contributing to our success.
“If I have that conversation with someone and they decide to stay then they won’t be around my group.”
Gerrard is planning talks with his unwanted players in the coming weeks and will make it clear what he thinks.
He added: “It’s quite easy to address that by showing the players honesty and respect.
“If I don’t feel I can give a player happiness in terms of appearances or game-time then I’ll tell him that.
“Then the decision is out of my hands.
“It’s up to the player, whether he wants to hang around here, or whether he wants to go and play.
“The decision is quite easy for me.”

Absolutely nothing wrong in anything he actually says, and doing it us what we should all hope he does to move on contracted players not contributing to the cause. Nothing said devalues any player.
Folk taking issue with the above clearly just dont want Gerrard as manager and as usual try to find fault even where theres none.

Don't think he's said anything that bad to be honest. It's fairly generic and not too scathing.
I think players, and fans can just be a little too precious at times. Ultimately, despite certain players being given plenty of chances they continue to take the piss out of us.
I actually think both have ability but Gerrard is correct in what he says and what he said in relation to throwing the youth players in. Ability is nothing if you are not ready and prepared mentally and physically. They must have the right attitude. We need players we can rely on. Players we can trust.
It seems that they could be on their way out however if any player has anything about them they'll knuckle down, keep their head down and work their balls off. It's possibly too late but it's pretty unlikely they'll ever get any better than us. If they don't realise that we're better off without them.

It's good for the players to unwind together with the fans the old team that drinks together 👍
Yes they could have probably been more open with  the fans who paid money to be there.
But it's probably the first some of these players have been to something like this and if you've ever been to one prob frightened the ass of some of them As the closest they've been to the fans.
Your a foreign player amongst bears with a drink and wanting a selfie 🤣Scary as f 🤣.
Plus they know if they say or do anything it's straight on social media so a no win situation.
lets just let it be a good awards night and not give the media amo to hit us with as we don't need  to feed negative stories .

We should play Katic the rest of the games to test him and also give him more experience against the best teams in the league. It would help him next season and give us an idea of where him and Goldson are at in terms of first picks.  We are basically playing for nothing so playing Worral doesn't seem to benefit us in any way.

So let me get this right. Gerrard is offered a 1 match ban for questioning why scott brown wasn't punished for his involvement in the incident at full time,  but they are citing scott brown for his involvement in the incident at full time because they believe he should be punished. So the sfa agree with Gerrard but are giving him a ban anyway.

Can they not just put it down to a bit of handbags and let both players off?
I honetly think they exaggerate and focus on these types of incidents more than they need to just to justify the need for a compliance officer and give her something to do.

How can we possibly be past that when children in this country are divided into two groups at the tender age of 5 by the Catholic Church and happily funded by the state.
I know it's  been said many times on here and it's blatantly obvious, if the authorities are in any way serious about addressing sectarianism in Scotland, then they must begin with eradicating segragated schools.

    Mate. It’s fuckin soul destroying.
Football was never about this. It’s not meant to be about endurance and suffering. And I don’t mean supporting Rangers, I mean Scottish football.
My club will always be my club but the whole game is fucked. The lower leagues were better than this pish. It’s not about the so called “banter years” between 2012 and today it’s about the hatred in the game
I am in Oman, my boy has a Rangers top and knows his favourite players (Tav, Halliday and Morelos) he sees me watching every game, although he only watches the early kick offs himself. He only knows the football
But the hatred in the game is all pervasive. He asks why our players are getting sent off. He asks why do I think celtic are the bad guys. He asks about referees and commentators and supporters songs.
Our game is toxic and no amount of “no surrender” is going to change that. Unless there is a gutting of the footballing authorities and a massive resetting of how it’s run, for the benefit of all clubs then I don’t see how any father is going to keep their kids interested.
The media is so anti-Rangers, that I know folk that mock Rangers even though they don’t know anything about Scottish football.
At the end of the day its supposed to be a sport. A game. Fun. Enjoyment. It’s not supposed to be a battle. A propaganda war. I shouldn’t need to have “spirit” to follow my club. I shouldn’t need to take political positions because politicians are victimising my club. Members of parliament shouldn’t be acting in favour of their teams. National broadcasters shouldn’t be demonising our players and our fans.
I will always love Rangers. Doesn’t mean I can’t despise Scottish football and frankly why would I want that for my son

You know we can be as facetious and flippant as we like about this but I’ll admit to getting scunnered with it all.
At 42 years of age and living overseas I am just about ready to chuck it. The games fucked. It’s actually embarrassing. What must Gerrard be thinking about this tinpot backwater pish.
A Compliance Officer with certain allegiances that takes her directions from watching the BBC coverage. Shock jock pricks like Sutton and Stewart who just spout controversial pish to get a reaction. No responsibility for the hatred and anger that they stir up. The list is endless of the lack of parity and one sided treatment
The treatment Alfredo is getting is fucking brutal and while we can argue it’s because of his race or nationality, it’s simply because he is a Rangers player, if he was wearing the hoops it would be a completely different narrative. He’d be a 30 million pound player by now, I dare someone to tell me that’s not true?
It’s been going on for over a decade now and it’s not even subtle. The SFA and SPFL need fucking gutted and the whole lot thrown out and start again with complete transparency on the independence of the games administrators.
The BBC Pacific quay needs carpeted and neutrality restored. Ditch the click bait era controversy and bring back fair factual reporting
The whole country has been completely fucking poisoned by fenian wankers and their agenda.
I recall when Rangers fans demanded that “we deserve better” from our board, well now it’s we deserve better from the authorities.

    Far from a perfect summation
1st red - deemed violent but clearly wasn't and rightly reduced to a yellow for petulance NO VIOLENCE
2nd red - two yellows in 10 seconds for a foul that wasn't a foul then petulance for not going to the ref. Harsh at best, ridiculous at worst NO VIOLENCE
3rd red - two yellows, first of which was never a booking, second was and he was very stupid given he was on a booking NO VIOLENCE
4th red - serious foul play, harsh at best, ridiculous at worst IMO but upheld on the back of over a month of relentless character assassination since he terrorised the tims. NO VIOLENCE
He's petulant, stupid at times and frustrating but not violent.
He's also developed an understandable persecution complex that adds to his frustration and has been relentlessly pursued by haters like Sutton, Hartson, Stewart, Craigan and Walker sadly ably supported by pricks like Rae, McCoist and Ferguson that should know better and perhaps even defend the young man

Most of us knew it would happen but, personally, I thought it would take our first trophy to push them over the edge. But no, a single goal victory in a single match has done the trick.
The seeds were sewn in the summer when complacency and arrogance led them to think that a  squad actually weaker than the previous season (Dembele, Roberts out, Morgan in) would still be too strong for everyone else. Some of their support began to fidget but Big Peter and St Brenda had never failed them, right?
Defeats to Killie and Hibs increased the jitters as our European heroics indicated a steel and determination absent for so long. The fidgeting got worse as they announced a bonus of 2.3m for Big Peter yet couldn’t shake off Rangers or Killie in the league they had come to see as their own.
Their friends in the media stayed loyal, hounding Morelos at every turn and bigging up journeymen like Christie and Edouard as if they were world beaters. And of course, the loyal suppression of THAT story continued for the most part as the verdicts were reported but our courageous journalists steadfastly refused to join the dots.
Then it happened. St Brenda’s first defeat at the thirteenth hurdle. Their fourth defeat of the season matching the total of the previous two seasons combined. And the manner of the defeat was even more telling than the scoreline. Totally dominated and clueless.
They are creatures of habit and, true to form, they turned on the officials and the SFA (an organisation more loyal, valuable and reliable to them than a bloody guide dog to a blind man) in a major deflection operation. The rules which state that, if the referee saw an incident and chose not to act, then no further sanctions can be applied, surely couldn’t apply here.
    “‘Mon tae fuck” they howled.
The house of cards begins to shudder.
Then Rangers ramp up the pressure by strengthening further with Defoe, Davis, Jones and Kamara on their way. Shit, this is serious.
And so the head of the supporters group (Mr “not enough Protestants on the Titanic“ himself) writes to the erstwhile allies at Hampden, effectively calling them cheats for following the rules. And, in what is clearly an orchestrated manoeuvre, the club follow it up with a demand for transparency. The club which has made an art form of secrecy and cover up now pushing for “transparency”. Utterly priceless.
Their world is collapsing in on them and they are in blind panic.
And of course, there hangs over them, THAT story. It hasn’t gone away and they may yet regret the stupidity of turning on the SFA who will hold the fate of that poisonous club in their hands.
It is the perfect storm and it has been a long time coming. Their lack of class and dignity is exposed for all to see and it is not pretty. The house of cards is hanging by a thread and an act of defiance or bravery by either the SFA or a serious journalist (Mark Daly?) will surely bring the whole rancid slum crashing to the ground.
I am thoroughly enjoying the show so far and would encourage all Bears to pull up a chair with, dare I suggest, a bowl of jelly and ice cream?
