The prime years varies player to player, but 28-32 would probably be considered prime for a midfielder.
It isn't the 1980s anymore where a 32yr olds legs had gone more often than not. It's 2024, and playing to a high level into your mid-30s is normal now. A fit and healthy Lundstram would be expected to still have 4-5yrs in him at a high level.
It would be embarrassing to offer a pay cut to a player bang in the middle of their prime years.
 

He's 29 and in his prime. A 2-3 year extension on his current terms is probably fair

Completely agree; more and more I feel that Cantwell is intent on doing his own thing rather than playing for the team. Trying to be everywhere like a headless chicken does not help the team. He would be better settling down and harnessing his undoubted ability in a constructive manner. It would also help if he would stop the dramatics and the petty confrontations and just use skill to put down opponents.
Lawrence is a difficult one, short of fitness and match rusty he still has show he can be a fit in midfield.
Raskin also needs to build fitness and play more than in fits and starts.
