I can see both sides here and understand the club banning people. But, and its a big but, they have gone about this in totally the wrong way.
All they had to do was suspend the fans concerned with the final decision whether to ban or not being conditional on the courts judgement. Club looks as if it is taking action, mhedia and SFA have nothing to whinge about and the fans concerned can see the decision is not final.
If they are found guilty in court then no argument, but if found innocent or not proven the club should IMO either reinstate the fan or return their season ticket cash. Their seat should be held empty and not resold until the final result.

So yes then? Incidentally how did they know they'd be banned? I agree they may have had an idea it was coming.
But here's an alternative to your train of thought. Those people about to be banned are flagged up in the ticket office, if indeed they did apply then their application could have been suspended until such a time as they were sent the letter.
See that would have been the honest, protestant, respectful way of doing it, befitting a club like Rangers.

Took a while to read to this point but my view is that its bang out of order for the club to take season books away without any recourse for the boys involved. Pretty poor that there is no refund and more to the point if the book was bought on finance through zebra you can have a bear with a monthly payment for nothing. The board have completely shown themselves up with this and have went down in my estimation and it proves they only see us as  a cash cow to be milked at every opportunity. Surely this is what fan groups are for? The groups have to look at each individual case and decide if there was any criminal act committed of real note (i.e GBH, not just entering the pitch) and if not then they must lobby to get these guys either their books back or at the very least their money returned. Im no an apologist  for bad behaviour but fuck me there are a few on here who must be whiter than white when it comes to attending games. The club would have been better either waiting for the real case to be heard and again at the very least revoked the season book but refunded the money. Legalized robbery in my opinion

If they had been found guilty in court the yes, the club has to act/ban them. But the club has pre-empted the courts decision which could be predjudicial to the fans defense. Think the club has really fucked up in this case and the only reason I can think for them doing this was to put themselves or the club in a better light which I totally disagree with. It smacks of appeasement and no other club has done this.
The club should have tried to help fans who were charged, given advice and supported them as they are part of the club. The fans support and cash are the reasons the club survived the last 4/5 years. A bit of reciprocal  support should be the minimum the fans get in return. Very poor decision making from DK, Robertson and the board.

I wonder if anyone at Rangers considered how prejudicial to the forthcoming court cases, the club itself handing out indefinite bans would be.

Maybe jumping the gun here but when a result like DU getting relegated is def going to happen - a lot of bookies will pay out early. Wonder if that will apply to this thread.

Yesterday just confirmed it to me they are the Scumtic lite. It was the refs fault, we didn't get any luck, we were by far the better team, big bad Rangers fault, we lost the title they didn't win it, its a conspiracy. Any I missed?

This is part of what is wrong on here at the minute. You could not just say it was bang out of order and leave it at that. But no, out comes the snidey dig or whataboutery regarding fans that do not agree with, or are different from your point of view. If people support certain factions then good luck to them. They are not forcing others to join in and disagreeing on a forum is certainly a long way from shouting abuse at other fans and even their kids !! for daring to buy a top.

Except it ain't 50% of their sales it's actually been stated all along its 50% of profit. But what exactly is there profit.
Also they tout there gear as an alternative to official merchandise, they are trying to get fans to wear this as as the match day gear instead of official tops. The rst are looking out for themselves rather than for the benefits of the club. If they were truly in this for the benefits of the club they would actually be advising the fans in other ways to get money in the club instead of it being all rst or nothing.
