He's winning people over because of his higher level of performances. He was in the same boat as Kent I think. They've not really played much and not at a great level. You can see them now starting to improve under a good manager & coaching team, and with lots of first team football. I think also a lot of folk had doubts before he signed because his (all important ?) stats weren't great!
Still has to learn when to try the spectacular though. There was one ball he went for yesterday that would have been easy to reach with his left foot, but chose to swing his right and lost control, giving away possession. I really like the guy, he's fast becoming one of our most important players. Him & Coulibaly together work really well.

He’s growing on me. He’s class in that midfield and never stops, he must be annoying as fuck to play against as he won’t leave you alone for a minute

Its something I never thought I would say but I actually feel a bit sorry for him. I do believe he regrets that press conference and will do till the day he dies. He was set up by his bitter celtic supporting employment lawyer and he fell for it big time. Unfortunately some thing cant be undone.

Even if you say every ticket in the ground was an average of 35 quid (concessions being balanced out by hospitality and some people paying 40 quid) that would be roughly 1.75M per game, so roughly 5.25M pre tax. But Rangers don't pay tax, so 5.25M net.

I'm too young to have watched his Rangers teams, but Jock Wallace's former players say he was ahead of his time in terms of ensuring everyone knew their tactical role, and having dossiers on opponents and strategies based on that. Gerrard seems to be of the same ilk as Wallace and Souness; he's focused on the fitness, made sure everyone knows their specific role and builds from there. 
The effect it has on players is evident just by watching Halliday. A decent, albeit limited, player whose confidence had been eroded over the last few years; target for the boo boys, and closely linked to Miller and Wallace. Rather than boot him out we've seen Gerrard put him out with specific roles and tasks, and Halliday has, by and large, carried them out. He's a decent utility player for us. 
I understand the "we need better" point, but quality players aren't going to sign to be fourth or fifth choice central midfielder when everyone is fit, third choice full back etc. Most successful teams* are greater than the sum of their parts and contain those utility players that, on paper, shouldn't be in the starting XI, but can fill in for more than one position and play their part. 
 
*Bar the likes of the Galacticos era Real Madrid, or the current Madrid side.

Been watching this closely and reckon they have only surfaced in recent years, probably encouraged to 'become' alleged Rangers fans especially on social media by their 'nat'zi handlers to infiltrate the system and try to blacken our name and at some stage probably play the victim card saying they driven away by the Big Bad Billy Boys, there maybe a small minority of Rangers fans who do have leanings towards the crackpots, but I Honestly have never met or encountered a single one in my Rangers circles and that's quite big area.
