Nae bones about it - we are as bad as the manks

Yeah, can you believe we've lost three times in the league already this season, got comfortably beaten by Celtic, conceded 11 goals, including three in one half against Kilmarnock and have taken one point from the last three games?

Me neither.

This will be a terrible result if we don't win our next two games which are massive in the direction of the title race. It could stop the tims from sneaking back into it.

And the sheep are just hitting a bit of form, humped united 3-1.

Some utterly ludicrous comments on this thread. Yes it was far from the greatest performance, poor finishing carelessness at the back and whatever else, but at the end of the day we're still seven points clear of our nearest rivals and ten clear of the tims. The league is never won and lost in October and how people can say we've actually lost the league when were seven clear? Are some of you clinically insane?

Jelavic was garbage today... punt him in January for big money and spend if he stays like this Imo

I agree, if we can get £10m or there abouts then definitely take it if he doesn't improve. Take the £10m and buy two quality strikers and the league is ours (tu)

We drop points again with jig in the team. Mccoist needs to take note but a lot of you need to calm down. Would anyone have a bet on start of season that we would be 10 clear mid Oct. Doubt it. We are in a fabulous position. No surrender

i hope when we see the willie vass training pics next week its of the players having shooting practice and practicing passing and moving, and not playing tig and mucking about trying to hit each other with the ball. the final ball today was nowhere near good enough at times and also naisey, lafferty, and jelavic and the midfeild were not very good. :disappointment: but we will still win 4 in a row. :crabflute: w.a.t.p

Few points :

1) Bocanegra was OUTSTANDING today - in fact, IMO the whole back 4 was great. Whittaker was superb at RB and Wallace was decent at LB but prefer Papac in there still.

2) McGregor looked nervous + shaky at crosses into the box. I've noticed this for a long time, he really needs to sort that out.

3) We need to stop bringing our entire team into our own box to defend a corner kick. Keep 2 up the pitch and force the opponent's to keep a few back - a shit team like St. Mirren would probably keep 4 back IMO. We just invite pressure onto ourselves.

4) We badly need someone who can stick the ball in the back of the net. Jelavic isn't that player. Lafferty isn't that player. Naismith isn't that player. We create so much in front of goal yet are so wasteful at the end. Jelavic should have scored his tap-in; Naismith should have played Laff in instead of electing to shoot when we had 4 players attacking their 2 defenders; Davis should have slipped Jela through instead of taking the shot on himself which the keeper saved.

5) Unhappy with McCulloch coming on to that pitch for Edu. Edu did no wrong IMO and McCulloch is just finished as a footballer. We just invite teams onto us when he's on the pitch because he doesn't get out quick enough and close down. In fairness, he made 1 terrific tackle that played Davis/Jela through on goal.

6) Conceding that goal at the end hurt. Badly. If we're keeping the ball high up the pitch and trying to play out time then WTF are Broadfoot and Ortiz doing so far up the pitch on the opposite side from the ball? Total schoolboy error from them - they should have been deep just in case they won the ball and broke on us - which they did.

7) Although in saying that, if we paid attention from throw-in's then that goal wouldn't have arose IMO. We are just so lazy and switch off completely when the opposition have a throw-in - I have no idea wtf it is we do. Someone needs to scream and shout and tell them to stick tight on a fuckin man and not let the opponents easily play their way out of a corner.

8) Despite all the above and my disappointment at the lethargic 1st half performance and wastefulness in the 2nd half - we're still 10 points clear. 2 difficult games coming up soon against the sheep and Hearts. Come on The Rangers.
