Hutchy WATP 462 Posted January 25, 2012 Share Posted January 25, 2012 I too think it's a lot of money to refuse flat BUT think of it this way - without Jelavic we have no goals, no goals means no league and no cup, no League means no champs league, - financially for a club "on the brink" that would be a loss of up to £25M in total once you factor in declinning tickets sales/merchandise/tv money/sponsership on top of the prize money etc etc.replacing strikers in January could be tricky - £7M doesn't look so great when you look at it that way.This Jan transfer windows got old fast with what can be potentially hanging over us money comin in is a near necessity but at the same time, like you mentioned, losing our best goalscorer right now could be much worse than makin a few mill from him at this time.Roll on Feb 1st when all this pish is over with.
