Jelavic Thread

I too think it's a lot of money to refuse flat BUT think of it this way - without Jelavic we have no goals, no goals means no league and no cup, no League means no champs league, - financially for a club "on the brink" that would be a loss of up to £25M in total once you factor in declinning tickets sales/merchandise/tv money/sponsership on top of the prize money etc etc.

replacing strikers in January could be tricky - £7M doesn't look so great when you look at it that way.

This Jan transfer windows got old fast <cr> with what can be potentially hanging over us money comin in is a near necessity but at the same time, like you mentioned, losing our best goalscorer right now could be much worse than makin a few mill from him at this time.

Roll on Feb 1st when all this pish is over with.

Rangers previously rejected an offer of £6.5million from Leicester for the striker in August.

On the up: West Ham look to be heading back to the Premier League

Jelavic has been quoted expressing interest in a move to West Ham but also claiming he would be happy to remain with the Scottish champions.

He said: 'West Ham are a great club; they are not a second division club.

'They are a famous Premier League club who happened to be relegated last season and will return to the Premier League next season.

'It would be nice to play there if the opportunity comes up and the club agrees.

'But I am also playing at a big club and it wouldn't bother me in the least if I had to stay her
