Ryan_1 1,136
IMO it was the right decision to sack Daglish. Not going to be a popular one at first but if they can get the right man in, Liverpool will be in a much better position.Jurgen Klopp from Dortmund I reckon would fit the bill. OneDavidCooper 2,505
Martinez in talks. May be too big a jump IMO.Indeed. The first question I'd ask him is why can he only motivate his team to play for 2 months every season.
Marky. 6,961
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :disappointment: :disappointment: :disappointment: :disappointment: Hope he decides not to go, otherwise Wigan will not be able to replace him. Goianegra 4,686
If Martinez goes to Liverpool, I think Wigan will go down. I know this season has only just finished, but I can't see them recovering from it. I like Martinez, but I don't think it's a good match. johanhentze 14,294
Who knows, it might turn out to be a shrewd signing. He hasn't exactly had millions to spend. On the other hand, Liverpool should probably aim higher!!
BlueSuedeSambas 54,226
I would find this to be a hugely underwhelming appointment if I was a Liverpool fan tbh.
Marky. 6,961
Bit off the wall this but Paul Scharner as player manager?I'd be open to that, but I don't think its likely. Is Paul Jewel still at a club? Steve Bruce again even?Someone like that may even be too big a name for a small club like Wigan.
BlueSuedeSambas 54,226
Chris Hughton would be the best appointment for Wigan IMO.
Bears&Reds 460
Martinez in talks. May be too big a jump IMO.A sick joke is what it is, sack Kenny for f**king Martinez, may as well have just have kept Kenny.

ClintonGrey 365
I would have been happy with Martinez at Chelsea tbh, if I hadn't already been won over my Di Matteo.

I just don't agree with him working 'miracles'. Working miracles would be getting Wigan in the top 10 while performing over the course of the season, not managing to motivate them to avoid dropping down a division when there's 2 months left of the season. I think he may well progress into a cracking manager, but he receives far too much praise for my liking.
