Benik afobe on loan from Arsenal

Can't see Premiership clubs like Arsenal loaning out players to play in the lower divisions. They would learn hee haw and be up against mince every week.

Little, Jig and Hemmings would be our front options I'd imagine and at that level will be good enough.

plenty players out there that would love to play for rangers in the lower level, and they will play for basically no pay just to pull the jersey on and fulfil boyhood dreams, players like john baird, jamie adams, kevin kyle, gavin swankie and rory macalllister maybe players that would not wet the appetite and play pretty football but they will do the job to get rangers promoted for 3 successive seasons.

Rob Jones is currently at Sheffield Wednesday, and just got promoted to the championship.

I think we need to be looking at younger players, especially if we are starting in the 3rd- 23/24 years old tops. Develop them though the leagues- adding occasionally every summer but keeping the main core together, and bringing in the kids- so that we have a tight nit group for the spl who have played and developed together for a few seasons. We may struggle for the first couple of seasons in the SPL, but we won't be in a position to buy our way out of that predicament.

If we're in the 1st, I don't see the point of bringing in mediocre journeymen for 1 season (assuming we get promoted) only to completely revamp the team again the next year. This would require more investment, and potentially more years of struggle.

All we need are 1 or 2 average quality players and a few squad players. The likes of Alexander, Perry, Cole, Hutton, Wallace, McCulloch and Little make up the basis of a decent side - all be it not what we have been used to in recent years.

Barry Ferguson has also looked into the possibility at returning and has spoke to McCoist. 1 year left on his contract. #RFC

There's also rumours of Craig Beattie joining doing the rounds

Not a fuckıng chance of that beıng true.

Although I wısh there was :(

I think Ian Black has shown that players are still going to be willing to join us and slug it out for a year in SD1.

We have overspent for years, but even if you take that overspending away we would probably still sell enough tickets & merchanidse to allow us to outspend almost every club in the SPL.

When they force us to take division 1 or the new SPL2 they will still force us to accept a season long transfer embargo. This was stated publicly.

We wouldn't be able to put a team on the pitch that would be able to challenge for a title proplerly both from a talent and a coverage for tiredness or injury perspective.
