It was the club that decided to splash the cash.

Beattie a tosser because of that ? Don't thinks so.

He didn't even try when he was here and even though he was never going to get a game he refused to leave without Shyte paying him £1 Million of our money. He is a Mercenary of the highest order and deserves no respect and we should never have signed him probably Walter's worst signing and our worst striker ever.

To say he didn't try is pathetic. It's not his fault the money we spent on him.

Nonsense. He tried he was just passed it physically. It's hardly his fault that we signed him for that fee and paid him those wages. He signed a contract so of course he would expect the club to honour it. It's only correct that we did. The notion that players would feel the same about the club as you or I and they would just wave goodbye to £1 million is ludicrous.

Your post is a prefect example of the stupidity of football fans.

Shame.

I was connected with Blackburn Rovers whilst he was playing for them and he was an outstanding finisher.

Right foot, left foot, volley, half volley, header, tap ins, long range shots, all came the same to him. He even took the free kicks.

Nice kid too.

Just another that lost his way once fame arrived.

On his day he was regarded as the most clinical finisher in the EPL at one time. Nice guy as well.
