When you compare the level of debt of a Hibs, Hearts or Aberdeen to that of what we had and how crippled we were by it, it is scary. They should all be on the verge of complete financial ruin. They seem to all be hanging on though. No one rushing to stop them signing players, no one rushing to condemn the way they are run. No one pestering theirs banks to call their debt in. It is all a bit strange. We were absolutely slaughtered for having an easily manageable debt.

Surely this is an example of financial doping and gives them an unfair advantage. They are cheating and should be punished accordingly, sporting integrity is important, lets remove them from the SPL and strip them of their titles points.

Hibernian: Rod Petrie warns about 'substantial reductions'

Hibernian chairman Rod Petrie has told the club's annual general meeting they may have to cut costs if home attendances do not improve.

"Growing the attendances by supporters is our core strategy," he said.

"We are asking supporters to do what you do best - support the team at home matches.

"If we cannot do that, and if we cannot grow our income, then the only route to get back to break-even will be to make substantial reductions in costs."

Hibs recently announced a second successive trading loss of £900,000 and the club's debt stands at around £6.4m.

order for the club to break even

"The club is asking shareholders, supporters and everyone connected with the club to play your part in getting back to where we all want it to be," explained Petrie.

Manager Pat Fenlon took over from Colin Calderwood 13 months ago and Hibs ended last season second-bottom of the Scottish Premier League.

They did, however, reach the Scottish Cup final, only to lose 5-1 to Hearts.

This term, Hibs have regularly frequented the SPL's top four and avenged their cup final loss by beating their Edinburgh rivals in the fourth round of this season's competition.

"The way things worked out, the appointment of Colin Calderwood was not a good one," added Petrie. "Mistakes were made.

"As chairman, I take responsibility for that. I am sorry that we have all had to endure two seasons of under-achievement and decline.

"I would also like to thank Pat Fenlon for accepting the post of manager at a particularly challenging time and for attacking the task of rebuilding the squad with conviction.

"Pat himself will tell you that it is still a work in progress as we approach the January transfer window."

Must be catching these falling attendances at tarrier grounds

If they cant increase attendances when they are in the top 6 then they are heading for trouble. With winter upon us, crowds start to fall as cash gets short, games are cancelled and away supporter numbers fall.

As ye sow so shall ye reap Petrie ya tosser, hell mend the corrupt SPL. You all crawled up liewells arse and he has shate you out.

The state of the SPL is a worrying trend and I really feel sorry for these clubs in the present climate.

If carlsberg only did Scottish cup draws.

After disposing of Dundee utd in the Scottish cup rangers have been drawn away to play Hibernian in the next round.

Fans groups have decided to repeat their boycott and Charles green has pledged to donate rangers share of the gate to charity again.

Unfortunately I dont think many of these teams will die. They will just massively cut costs/staff/player wages and try and put a brave face on it. The issue they will have is staying in the top flight. So while we will go from strength to strength in the next few years, these teams will gradually weaken as the cost cutting measures bite.

When we get back, the top flight in scottish football will be a completely different landscape to what it is now
