NorthUistBear 86
Got this horrible feeling that smith, Boyd & foster will be stand outs for the respective new clubs. Wouldn't bet against boyd scoring 15-20 goals next season.
terry739 267
You just know him and Boyd will look like world beaters for them next season leading to multiple threads on how it was all McCoist's fault that they were shite for us. Should maybe get a sweepstake going. What??? Do you NOT think it was McCoist's fault? A fuckin' BB captain could have got more out of our team AND would have more idea about team tactics!! eejay the dj 31,964
Lived the dream .Wasn't good enough first or second time but I wish him all the best .Good luck Stevie Smith
MasterD 7,435
What??? Do you NOT think it was McCoist's fault?A fuckin' BB captain could have got more out of our team AND would have more idea about team tactics!!We should have hired a BB captain then instead of McCall. hammer time 653
Wonder if their manager will play him at left midfield like our genius did ?
LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,510
What??? Do you NOT think it was McCoist's fault?A fuckin' BB captain could have got more out of our team AND would have more idea about team tactics!!Feel free to point out where I said McCoist was blameless. My post was more to do with the needless threads we'll no doubt have on the subject if these players do well elsewhere.Well done diving in head first though
Brian Fantana 28,894
Sent killie a betamax copy of bend it like beckham an said he took the freekicks in the film - BOOM! 3 year deal.
WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
Smith was one of the most uninspiring players over that three year period.Killie are one of the most skint clubs in the top flight. They sign who they can afford, not who they want.I actually don't mind them; Rugby Park is a good away day and Ayrshire is full of bears, but I would be interested to know the last them they paid a transfer fee for someone. Chineseboy 1,563
Good luck, Stevie. Personally, I don't like reading comments expressing hatred and vitriol towards our ex-players. Ok, they weren't good enough, and yeh, asking about holiday pay etc is folly on their part. But as far as I am concerned they wore the jersey. I should probably get my tin hat ready! Smile 26,610
Should never have been resigned some good free kicks though but was finished when we signed him.
NorthernLights 2,526
Eh. He would have been fine at left back, but Wallace was obviously better and he was shoehorned into a left midfield role.
Gallus 11
Smith was shite in even his first spell
rosco88 66
I'll get shot down for this but...One of the best set piece specialists we've had fora good few years. Other than that he brought very little though.

A Gallant Pioneer 555
Smith contributed more in a few games than Lee Wallace did in the last 2 years.
RD.1872 890
Nothing against him but he summed up McCoists, lazy, blinkered half arsed approach to management.Should never have been signed as he was done before he left us the first time. Shame injuries ruined him because he was a decent prospect under McLeish & PLG.
Loyal-Bear 229
I thought he was a player first time around but the fact he was signed by Ally says it all. Will go with my best wishes. He at least tried. Not many you can say that for over the past couple of seasons.
WATBB 1,524
Are Killie's scouts on drugs? Like did they actually watch us last season and think: "Fuck me, that's abit of alright, we'll get them signed up right away eh gaffer?"
Dietspam 733
Some being a bit harsh i think. It's not like he played bad on purpose and i don't think i ever came out of a match thinking ''How shite is Stevie Smith''
LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,510
I'd have kept him and cashed in on Wallace. There I've said it.
left winger 14,277
I'd have kept him and cashed in on Wallace. There I've said it.I'm sure the only reason we signed him was because we were going to sell Wallace.
brazz1972 397
Stevie Smith gave 100%. Not his fault he wasn't up to scratch for us it was the manager who signed him. Good luck to him.

Inigo 32,534
Some good words from him, unlike some others recently. The 29-year-old said: "When you play at a club the size of Rangers you are going to come in for some criticism. But you've just got to go out and prove people wrong."There is no doubting we deserved that criticism but now it's about proving to myself that I can still play in the top division."Listen, I've been associated with Rangers since I was 10 years old. I was fortunate enough to play there twice."It's a great football club and I enjoyed every minute of being there."Last season was difficult, everybody knows that, but you are not going to hear me say a bad word about Rangers. I grew up at that club and It's still a great place to play. I wish them all the best for next season."I hope they are heading in the right direction now and I hope they come up next season. But I'm concentrating on Kilmarnock now and I'm looking forward to having a good season here."
