You just know him and Boyd will look like world beaters for them next season leading to multiple threads on how it was all McCoist's fault that they were shite for us.

Should maybe get a sweepstake going.

What??? Do you NOT think it was McCoist's fault?

A fuckin' BB captain could have got more out of our team AND would have more idea about team tactics!!

We should have hired a BB captain then instead of McCall.

Feel free to point out where I said McCoist was blameless. My post was more to do with the needless threads we'll no doubt have on the subject if these players do well elsewhere.

Well done diving in head first though (tu)

Smith was one of the most uninspiring players over that three year period.

Killie are one of the most skint clubs in the top flight. They sign who they can afford, not who they want.

I actually don't mind them; Rugby Park is a good away day and Ayrshire is full of bears, but I would be interested to know the last them they paid a transfer fee for someone.

Good luck, Stevie. Personally, I don't like reading comments expressing hatred and vitriol towards our ex-players. Ok, they weren't good enough, and yeh, asking about holiday pay etc is folly on their part. But as far as I am concerned they wore the jersey. I should probably get my tin hat ready!

I'll get shot down for this but...

One of the best set piece specialists we've had fora good few years. Other than that he brought very little though.

dont see why. it's true.set pieces he was outstanding but he's just neither hungry enough or good enough.

Nothing against him but he summed up McCoists, lazy, blinkered half arsed approach to management.

Should never have been signed as he was done before he left us the first time. Shame injuries ruined him because he was a decent prospect under McLeish & PLG.

I thought he was a player first time around but the fact he was signed by Ally says it all. Will go with my best wishes. He at least tried. Not many you can say that for over the past couple of seasons.

Some good words from him, unlike some others recently.

The 29-year-old said: "When you play at a club the size of Rangers you are going to come in for some criticism. But you've just got to go out and prove people wrong.

"There is no doubting we deserved that criticism but now it's about proving to myself that I can still play in the top division.

"Listen, I've been associated with Rangers since I was 10 years old. I was fortunate enough to play there twice.

"It's a great football club and I enjoyed every minute of being there.

"Last season was difficult, everybody knows that, but you are not going to hear me say a bad word about Rangers. I grew up at that club and It's still a great place to play. I wish them all the best for next season.

"I hope they are heading in the right direction now and I hope they come up next season. But I'm concentrating on Kilmarnock now and I'm looking forward to having a good season here."
