gsa 3,906
Waghorn not cutting it in my opinion. He's the very definition of a flat track bully. Looked good against part timers but he doesn't have the mental strength to play in pressure games. Takes him far too many chances to score and while that was acceptable against semi-pro's, it's nowhere near good enough in games where our chances are limited. You can see him physically wilt when he misses a couple. Garner adds some aggression and urgency and I'd like to see him start.

Every other striker in Britain seems to have adapted to one up front through the middle?
there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Waghorn looks way off form. Garner looks like Joe Swash.
siddiqi_drinker 14,635
Thought Dodoo looked sharp when he came on and fired a couple of balls across the box, maybe give him and Garner a game together
billscott 2,464
waghorn was very poor and i just dont get garner he looks like a cart horse to me i know it is difficult to come on as sub but when he started v ross county he was awful as was waghorn in that game it is a bit worrying that we are still needing kenny miller to get us a goal
Pearson83 1,059
I do not rate waghorn and always felt he would struggle this season.

GlasgowsBlue 329
Garner > Waghorn I like Waghorn but he's never a winger. What I'd give to see these two play up top together in maybe a 3-5-
LegendofCoop 18,218
For the most part, at the start of last season, Waggy looked full of ideas, running and was a constant threat. Maybe tailed off a bit towards the end of the season. This season so far he's looked like a clueless lump of wood. I mean, there's plenty of effort but he just doesn't look like he know what to do with the ball at his feet now.
GaryMc 2,409
Waghorn has been rank rotten to be honest. His decision making is horrendous and he can't beat a man.
siamthedanger 2,936
Don't rate either. Waghorn is not quick/clinical/decisive enough and Garner pisses me off with his constant diving and getting involved in stuff he shouldn't, not seen any bit of play from him that even suggests he is worth the 1.5 million we paid for him. TMB 14,167
All of our forwards have been gash. Miller got a good goal tonight but but contributes almost nothing from out wide. McKay should've been out of the team weeks ago. Waghorn looks good through the middle but it wasted out wide. We struggle to put the ball in the net and need proper wingers brought in as soon as possible.
Courtyard Bear 41,357
The pair aren't going to score you 20+ goals each in this league and that's the kind of strikers we need.
Ben10 2,362
Very low on confidence, but I admire the fans applauding his scuffed effort at one point when he looked dejected. Fans were magnificent that goes without saying. Thank you to all whom were there
STEPPS BOY 77,865
Waghorn and Mckay just aren't up to it. great against Allloa, East stirling etc but posted missing when it matters. Someone wants to tell Garner that his job is to score goals, not fall about looking for free kicks.. BTW, Miller is still comfortably our best striker.. Bellshill_Bear 1,105
Sakes. Waghorn is being played put of position. He is useless out wide and was last season as well. When he plays in the middle he scores. Warburtons problem is he trys to make players too versitile and fit al the best players in the team
Captain Hilts 12,819
Because he's not a winger.

DMax399 4,030
Not an ounce of form between Garner, Waghorn or McKay for that matter. Get them all on the bench. Dodoo showed some ambition when he came on, and it looks like our best striker is still Kenny Miller. So perhaps we need MOH out wide right with those 2 up front with him? We just don't look like we have goals in our front 3 right now.
graeme_4 37,926
Dodoo has looked the best of the 3.
MasterD 7,464
Neither are helped when they don't get a run of games in 1 position. Waghorn starts in the middle 1 game then moved to the right the next to make way for Garner or Miller, then the next game Garners a sub again and someone else comes in. No spine to the team in general. From CBs, CMs, "front 3", rarely any of them are the same 2 or 3 games in a row.
eosmhdo 1,879
Waghorn is neither a number 9 or a winger. Like the lad but wouldn't know where to play him. Poor tonight
bam74 1,085
They're both hopeless. £1.8 million for Garner just seems like a bad joke. Spends most of the game arguing or on his arse. Kenny Miller, at 36, is our best striker. Frightening
