Nope, it is based on assets against liabilities.  If he has money tied up it is still an asset.

I don't really know the process but if you've assets or money tied up, can the creditors not put a claim on them, liquidate whatever stock you've got and get paid that way? I'd have thought just saying nah my cash is tied up and I've only got assets not cash wouldn't cut it

I very much doubt it's anything to do with his EBT's. That debt is owed by the oldco not the beneficiary's of the EBTs.

More likely tax owed from  investment in the dodgy tax avoidance film schemes.

Great player. Loved him as a player first time. I genuinely thought he was world class from 1998-2003 even though people disagree with me but he's a clown of a guy. As is his brother.
