ExiledWeegie123 1,466
unreal how they both kept that ball in the corner for 3 minutes and everytime the Motherwell players got near they hit the ball off them and out for throw ins and corners, loved watching it, their close control was great. thats how you see a game out and so glad they learned from those Benfica games, thats what we needed in both those games, credit to both of them. Broxi 12,226
Itten breaking through on goal and turning back was very smart as well. Easy thing was to take a shot from a tight angle and give the ball away. He knew that despite breaking through that there wasn't really a proper chance there so turned back and headed straight for the corner again, very smart. RDB14 2,891
I was delighted to see that. Too often do we keep attacking, especially Morelos. Earlier in the season I remember Itten taking on a stupid shot too. I was absolutely delighted to see us just being professional and running the clock down. Winners. bluenoz 32,918
I've changed my mind on Itten. He adds a completely different dimension. Also, I think he is very much an impact player. Not many players are effective coming off the bench. Big Cedric is good in that role.

Malkytfp1 19,933
More proof of learning lessons. We didn't keep the ball in Benfica and lost a late equaliser. Today shows players are taking poor moments and learning lessons.

Graham 3,567
Amazing for 90 minutes we couldn't find space in the 18 yard box but for 3 we could find space in a corner. Wonder if hey have practised that after the Benfica games.

Pity Kamara didn't think of doing that on Wednesday night when he gave the ball away in the middle of the park which ended up being the build up to their third goal. theblueskyeman 528
Two weeks ago we’d have been askin what the fuck, but today then well, we needed it. If we’re gonna see the league out then there’s gonna be peaks and troughs. Today needed the ugly shit but thank fuck we did it. Shows you the fine line we’ve been walking. Psychological now. That would have been a massive lift for them if we had been beat but now that will feel like a proper kick in the stones for the cunts.
LegendofCoop 18,272
At situations like that.....(with Motherwell having everyone in their own box.....and us with a defender on the half way line) I don't know why we don't punt it all the way back to our keeper. Ultimate piss take. Ball in our own box.....their players have to (presumably) run the length of the pitch to get near it....before we fire it back down again. Would easily waste 30 seconds or so! SeparateEntityMyArse 55,700
Not only that. We won a corner and our midfield and defence retained their default positions instead of coming up for it. Game management in a nutshell 👍
