JOHN Kennedy has admitted that Celtic's players made "slip ups with minor things" on their training camp at Dubai - but photos showing stars relaxing in a bar give a FALSE impression of the trip.

The Hoops assistant manager has been briefing the media after the Parkhead side returned from their jaunt to the UAE yesterday afternoon.

He confirmed that Celtic's players have all received Covid-19 tests on their return and were awaiting their results back ahead of Monday night's meeting with Celtic Park.

And said that contact between the club and the SFA had been made whilst the Hoops were out in Dubai, with the association apparently content with what they have heard.

First minister Nicola Sturgeon's calls for a wider inspection into the camp were kicked into touch by the SFA - who signed off on the trip via the Joint Response Group.

Theoretically compliance officer Clare Whyte could still take action against the Hoops - but that prospect seems increasingly unlikely.

Kennedy claimed the hotel gave the club had their private areas, and players used their own exits and entrances.

And any breaches of 2m social distancing rules was quickly dealt with.

He said: "Listen, there have been slip ups with minor things and if you get a snapshot of something you can criticise and jump on it.

"We as much as we possibly can we speak to the players in terms of the protocols they must adhere to. Because everyone wants football to continue. We want to abide by all the rules.

"Any errror in that we try to eradicate that and fix it. That is what we did.

"The picture paints maybe a bleak picture.

"We have to move on from that, the gov and the SFA have said there isn't really a case to answer.

"We have submitted what we need to and they are content with that. So we just need to concentrate on moving forward now.

"I think during the time there has been contact [with SFA] maybe asking the question when we were over there, but we have submitted what we have done every day and teh protocols we have put in place every day to mitigate any sort of risk. And they seem quite content with that.

"We were tested on arrival back last night and there is usually a 24-hour turnarojd for that so we should receive that in the next day or so."

"I think probably you guys back here got a snapshot of one or two pictures which might kick around from maybe local people or people who are on holiday and it paints a picture that is probably a bit false.

"The whole week we had a lot of work put in to the trip itself, a lot of people spent a lot of time and effort travelling out there before we arrived making sure everything was ready for us.

"In terms of the protocols in Dubai the hotel worked very hard with us in terms of giving us our own areas.

"We had pretty much our own - for a period - our own unique places, our own meeting groups, we pretty much left with our own entrances and exits.

"At no point did we have to go into the main part of the building. We were kind of kept aside and that was just to follow the protocols.

"We took advice from the usual advisers, we made sure we were following all the protocols we had to. And that allowed us tro train well.

"In terms of the facility itself, the training sessions we got our there, we couldn't have replicated it here and that has been teh same as in the past.

"That has always worked for us in the past."

"From our perspective in terms of the football side it was a really good trip.

"We got a lot of work done which would have been very difficult because of the weather and the circumstances we have got here.

"Hopefully that sets up really well for the remainder of the season.

Any idea how Adrian Durham is spending the money he received in donations to investigate and make the film about the abuse scandal? He does seem to have gone very, very quiet. Maybe genuine reasons for it but I truly hope he hasn't taken people for a ride.

It’s not Adrian Durham mate, Think it’s Adrian Goldberg iirc

Where has he said that?

Surely that’s enough to have them cited and investigate.

Kennedy trying to say they had minor slip ups. There is no such thing as minor during a pandemic.

Despite this they'll walk away with zero punishment. SFA would have to admit they fucked up giving them permission so they'll just look the other way as usual with scum fc.
