People were still saying the had packed it in at 70 minutes or so.

I’m not defending Goldson’s comments, as the Rangers vice captain it was a moronic admission, but let’s not act like there weren’t people thinking and saying the exact same thing that he did when there clearly was.

3-1 down with 20 mins to go and creating zero chances is a completely different scenario from 3-1 down at half time having just scored and on the ascendancy.

I really don't think many truly thought the game was over at HT.

It's exactly what we do. Mind everyone lost their shit because Tavernier said precisely what many fans had been saying?

Goldson says exactly what plenty fans were saying at the weekend and fans lose their shit.

The fans were saying it in part BECAUSE the players have this attitude, though. If they had been bang up for it and flying round the pitch trying to make things happen then it might have been a bit different but the fans don’t believe a bunch of mentally weak players will come back, they don’t, and then the players tell you that they were never going to because they’re mentally weak

You do realise it's not the fans who put on the jersey and play on the park?

Really shoddy comparison

Is this the same group of players we were lauding six months ago as winners after showing fantastic mental toughness to go through the season undefeated?

He’s been atrocious for months and his mind is obviously elsewhere. Just look at the goals conceded, mostly from fannying about at the back or not dominating our own box. Not good enough for Rangers.

He’s not signed a contract and is apparently building a family home in England. Clearly not committed to Rangers.

He got his league winner’s medal and that seems to be enough for him. Not ambitious enough for Rangers.

Chucked it when the game was still salvageable. Gutless.

Until we have other options (recall Katic, Helander recovery, promotion of youngster, new signing in a few weeks etc), we’re paying his wages let’s use him. But the minute there is another option, get him to fuck.

That's not just on him though , Where's the keeper when tav is taking a corner on his chest about 5 yards out , what the fuck is kamara doing , they are all a fucking shambles

So the fans are allowed to be a shower of heartless shitebags but not the players?

Yes mate. As fans, we pay for that privilege. As fans some of us work 40+ hours a week to go to the games or buy all the merch. Some of us give up our Saturdays with our wifes and kids to watch our team. We are consumers and we have the right to be upset and vocal about a product where we don't feel we are getting valued.

However if Billy fae Trongate is a shitebag on a Saturday at 3pm during an old firm I can guarantee you that won't have as detrimental an affect as it would if our captain or players are shitebags at 3pm during an old firm.

Apparently so. We keep hearing how going to Parkhead with a reduced allocation somehow makes things harder for the players...

I expected you to come out with an interesting response but that's an absolute belter even for you, fair play.

Old Firm games are finished by 2pm.

Selling our players at their 'peak' is exactly how you go about winning fuck all.

Aye?

We have relied on directors loans and share issues to survive so how do we finance the year on year squad improvements required to compete and avoid , as you say, winning fuck all which, notwithstanding 55, is exactly what we’ve won these past 5 years since returning to the SPFL ?

Hold on to our main assets in the hope that the £50k purchase from Dundee or the 1mk striker plying his trade in Finland  continue to exceed expectation and bring in freebies and bargain bin buys to play alongside them?

That strategy will eventually bite you on the arse, as witnessed this year. The two most obvious example me being Morelos who is worth practically fuck all on current form, and Kamara who’s form has deserted him this season.

The well used football saying ‘form is temporary, class is permanent’ isn’t true.

There are thousands of players over the years who have looked absolute class but couldn’t sustain their levels of performance for more than one or two seasons and disappeared back into mediocrity.

we need to sell year on year for the time being for the betterment of the team for the short and long term.
