This makes Beale look like he’s talking out of both sides of his mouth a little bit.

The other week he was talking about wanting to sign “starters” and now he is effectively saying that having “starters” is a bit old fashioned and that the game has evolved into far more of a squad game, with more rotation, than it’s ever been before.

Which one is it, because it can’t be both? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think what he means surely is not having the huge drop off in quality.

So by ‘starter’ they’re not necessarily going to start every game they’re available but they’re at least as good as our better players.

Fair enough if this is just man management to see us through for a bit, but if he's genuinely happy with the level of our goalkeepers 1 2 and 3 then that is deeply worrying to say the least. Saying best in the country and the other 2 being close is just opening us up to unnecessary ridicule. If you look at our in game stats how often do you see something like shots against 2, on target 1, goals 1? It feels like pretty much every game.

That's not what he's saying.

He's saying the idea of having 11 first team players then a bunch of squad players is old fashioned, which it is.

He wants to sign players that are good enough to be starting, not have 11 that are good enough to start then a lot of backups. We need a squad of 15-16 starters which can be rotated.

Disagree.

Mcgregor in his prime especially the road to UEFA Cup final under Walter Smith where world class performances.

There’s a reason that in his prime he left us for Besiktas, and then played for Hull and Cardiff and never get a move to better than Premier League relegation battlers.

The fact that he went to Besiktas and then Hull probably says otherwise.

Great shot stopper, but not a world class GK.

If Craig Gordon is fit he is the best Scotland GK.

If Greegsy is rolling back the years and playing in his prime he could be considered best GK in Britain.

Nonsense. He was never close to being that even at his very best.
