Riddy of a guy.

Seems a fanny, but it’s domestically PC really needs judged on and I agree with him that last night is just papering over cracks.

Needs to go on a run of wins domestically to have any chance of turning the tide.

It was the best we've played this season and a very convincing win.

The manager deserves credit for it.

Of course he does  FCSB had won their two previous EL games and PC should get the credit for it .

The thing is though , along with Malmo and at a push Ross County , it's only our decent performances in 20 odd games this season . He needs to turn that around to get my backing now .

I'm wondering if , like LeGuen , European football suits him more than the domestic game which is no good to us . It's why I'm an advocate of having a Scottish manager next time should he be replaced.

I didn't think we were that good to be honest. Just ruthless with the chances we had and a lot more aggressive in midfield, which isn't a bad thing, but our general play was poor.

Are you including friendlies and the bounce game against Dundee in that number?

I thought we improved the second half but it was frustrating the amount of loose passes we were making . Basic errors . Big improvement in effort though .

It was the same as Gio. Probably a good manager in an environment where games are more tactical, and a bit more open, but can’t dumb that down and apply it to the SPFL in a way that’s effective.

Yeah, that was my initial reaction last night. We sort of found ourselves 2-0 up without doing a whole lot.

Yeah , Scottish football just seems to be a different animal where it's more about blood and thunder rather than technique. I think it catches both players and managers out that come here .

It's nothing to do with the manager. It's bcuase these mercenary players quite enjoy the glory of Europe so will put a shift in. Fully expect holiday mode against St Mirren at the weekend.

I don't buy it. There is no magic formula here, the filth manage it season after season. It's the fact our players are not winners and are not up for a title fight. They are happy to accept mediocrity, defeated before the season begins. Fuck sake, Cerny had a good game but he was celebrating blocking a pass as much as a goal....

The squad has been gutted with some of the players barely playing a handful of games in Europe, winning only two of them. Of course it's to do with the manager.

Anyone letting themselves believe last night was an indication of Clement turning things around is a genuine moron

It’s a case of short memories mate, it’s Malmo all over again.

As a support how many false dawns have we seen over the last 7/8 years?

I enjoyed watching us last night.

That said the football was only decent for very small spells.

We looked incredibly open at times and a better team would have picked us off.

Clement’s approach is a bit too reliant on individual players producing a moment of quality rather than clear phases of a game where as a team we create good opportunities.

Has to be sitting here after Wednesday with two more wins.

Agree with you regards the players- they're not winners. They also lack fight which is something I don't think they're used to in their homeland.

The filth have had more than their fair share of expensive failures too, but when you throw enough money at it , it will eventually succeed.

I still believe most continental players struggle with the lack of time you get on the ball here , as well as the physicality, and some of them just don't adapt.
