Stagnant if not regressed if you like. We're undeniably a better team, but when he was switched to that deep lying midfielder position last season I (and I think plenty others) thought we'd unearthed someone who will be a star for us. Very good at winning the ball back cleanly and I thought he showed he could play some forward passes too.
