I always found the overall lack of concrete interest for both of them a bit strange, based on European performances alone. I know they frustrated the life out of us at times, but that's mainly domestically which realistically clubs signing our players for big money won't have much regard. They both contributed massively to us being in a European final and performed well in Europe over a good few years. What more do clubs want? You'd think we'd be at least 15-20 million richer if things had been managed properly and maybe with a little bit more luck.

The worst year for injuries I can ever remember,

It’s got to that thanks to that fucking 3 week period when everyone could see gio was a dead man walking bar our board 

I canny wait to slag peoples suggestions and berate them for being nowhere near Rangers standard
But offer none of my own  

We got nothing more than the going rate for a player who was outstanding in a team that was a kick away from from winning the Europa league. Surely that's levels above the Dutch league overall. Whatever the flaws in his game and as good as Ajax might be its up to them to use him effectively. 

I would like just once to go into or leave this fixture thinking the actual fucking Rangers manger could pick a better team and tactics than any random poster off this forum 
We genuinely play them like it’s still Dodoo, Forrester and Clint Hill we’ve got in the line up

The 11 years is nonsense. We won trophies when we were in the lower leagues and if we're not counting those trophies in the numbers then we can't count those years either as part of the 11.

It’s clearly the established convention that you return the ball up the park when the other side puts it out for an injured player.
Can agree / disagree with what Beale then did, but saying the Thistle player took a bad touch or we lost 50 yards or posting screenshots showing nothing is just a nonsense.
The first part happens every week up and down the country. We’d be rightfully furious had it happened to us.

I'm still really sad that it never worked out here for Gio. I wanted him to be a success so badly. I'll never forget those European nights on the road to Seville.

I think people are lying if they are now saying Gio shouldn't have got the job. He ticked all the boxes - assistant to Koeman for a few years, then Rutten, won the Eredivisie with Feyenoord for the first time in a long time, coached internally in the City Football Group, had deep knowledge and history of the club with a proper affection for us. 
It just didn't work out.

We aren’t playing Porto, or Leverkusen, or Benfica, or Leipzig though. We’re up against teams like Napoli and Liverpool, who would also hand out doings to the teams you mentioned. Doesn’t excuse the terrible performances but we are in a genuine group of death.

Wasn’t really a bizarre signing at all. Bassey had just left and the majority wanted a good replacement brought in because nobody trusted Barisic.
At this point Barisic decided to find form again and made the whole signing look like a waste of time and money. It’s typical more than anything else 

That was depressing but so was Feb. Failed to win the league obv, but in many ways it went better than we expected from there on in. Got to hope same can happen from here. This squad/ manager always keep up guessing which version will turn up.
