of those 2 contributed to our 5 draws and 2 contributed to our 4 losses. We conceded 3 more goals than them last year but scored 21 fewer goals.
 
Yes in an ideal world we would be absolutely rock solid at the back but for me our biggest issue last year was that we didn’t score nearly enough goals.
 
That is even before we factor in we had an injury crisis in defence for a large chunk of the season, changed manager half way through and our no. 1 GK at the start of the season was so poor we had to turn to the guy who was meant to retire the summer before and who had obviously declined to the point we finished with McCrorie being the starting GK.
 

Could pick any of about 20 Matt Le Tissier goals as well. Felt like the boy only scored classics.

Are people forgetting the amount of sitters Morelos missed when he first came here? Albeit he did put in a lot of work off and on the ball to open up play and get the ball to team mates. But I remember him missing a number of guilt edged chances when he first arrived. He'd do this weird thing where he'd be running onto a crossed ball in the 6 yard box and instead of adjusting his body position so he could stroke the ball into the net he'd just keep his regular stride and try to, like, run onto the ball as if he was just out for a jog and a ball happened to fall onto his foot. He missed a few chances doing that.
We need to move on.

Negativity is embarrassing. These qualifiers have never ever been easy. We’ve got the job done after a poor first half. Second half was much improved and that will serve them well going forward responding to adversity. Give the new players time to settle man. It’s been 4 games. 

Just watched the highlights, dessers did well in 1st half rounding the keeper and getting a shot on target, playing in cantwell for the game and getting on the end of a cross with a decent glancing header. Does everything corre t with the knockdown from Danilo at the start of the second half as well.
There are signs there he could be alright. Folk just seem to have an insatiable desire to have a whipping boy and paint players in completely black and white terms.

Thank fuck we won well today. Place would have gone into meltdown if we’d dropped points and he scored.

I feel the criticism of tav is unfair.
Defensively yes he isn’t the best but going forward he is one of our better players and his numbers over the years prove that.
Unfortunately for him the majority of his team mates don’t perform well and we turn to our RB to do wonders. We won’t know what we have lost with tav until he leaves imo.

I thought we played some really nice stuff for periods and although the passing was shocking at key moments you can at least see what we’re trying to do. I thought so anyway.
Game should be done and it’s pathetic how much we fucked about given they had 10 men, however I thought there were a lot of positives and it was a bigger improvement than I expected to be perfectly honest.

When Rangers lose, there's always an autopsy, I think the criticism is just and merited but I also think there's reasonable explanations too.
The meak manner in which we rolled over and died was unacceptable, the lack of self belief on show, particularly after going behind was hard to watch and was always going to be a magnet for critics and rightly so.
When you sign so many players though you run the risk of taking time to gel which is what we've seen in pre-season and into the real stuff now too, the pitch too is always likely to be a leveler, I know people will point to the tims record the last season and say they had no problems but they were a settled side who played all out attack and this Killie team looks stronger than last seasons squad so I don't think we can use that as a marker for this season just yet.
These new boys still don't understand what it's like to play for Rangers yet, I remember when Aribo came into the team, everyone knew he had ability but he was miles off it at the start of the season, he quickly learned and developed at an alarming rate, I think we'll see the same growth with these players too but we need to show a little patience and faith in them, it'll be hard enough for them to settle if the fans are on their case from the get go.
The most frustrating thing for me is the lack of an identity in this team, I'm not quite sure what style of play Beale is trying to implement, again I know that's a hard one to be overly critical about when he's signed so many players but I thought he had stumbled upon a system last season that looked like it could work and expected him to build on that but it seems like he ripped those plans up and is starting from scratch again.
 
I think fans are entitled to be critical but I also think we need to be a bit realistic here too, this wasn't going to jel straight away, these things rarely do, so I think we have to show a bit of patience and hope over the next few weeks we begin seeing a style of play take some kind of shape, but if all we get is the same turgid football then we shouldn't be shy in letting everyone know this ain't on.

I'm not one for possession for possessions sake, but I don't like giving the ball away needlessly if no option is on. 
If he has a forward option where he can take some responsibility and try and play a pass and doesn't then that's fair he deserves criticism.
What I've noticed is that the fans get on his back even if he has no option. If he blasted the ball up the park to no one he would also get it in the neck. The fans have decided they are done with him and some of the stick he takes at games is pretty shite.

Nobody deserved this for opening up a thread.

It's an indication of our expectations that people are going daft over a negative friendly result.
As fans we want to win every game, but as has been said these games aren't about results they're about getting fitness levels up, the squad has been training heavily in the days leading up to these games which will hopefully help us in terms of getting through the season without looking done after 60 minutes. 
We've a number of new players who are getting their own levels up, getting to know teammates. We're also trying new systems etc. 
There's absolutely nothing to worry about at this stage and with some of the passages of play you can see that when it all clicks we'll be playing some exciting football.

Tonight was dreadful but people really need to get a grip
A couple of seasons ago we got beat by Tranmere yet drew with Arsenal and beat Madrid, it's really not important. If we don't up it against Killie and Genk/Servette we can start to have a moan.
Imo the only thing worth worrying about just now is the left hand side of the defence.
