It is the Alamo for Beale next week. One off game and he cannot keep the failure going without it having disastrous implications for him as manager.  He is too nice. Mr family football manager. It’s not a boarding school we are running.  You know…… all this someone’s having a baby and the smiles etc.   It’s fucking football and results we want. Then his synopsis of the game as it unfolded……. Yeah we all saw it too!  Do we have a trainer and a guy who talks all the talk ,cos this is beginning to sound so familiar. Hope I am way off the mark here and he gets us something out of this season to build on

A refereeing decision and two individual fuckups cost us the game.
I'm more convinced than ever that they're there for the taking, especially when its not at their place full of their support alone. After yesterday I believe we'll do them in the next 2 fixtures, I saw enough to know we've got the tactics and players to beat them, we need to capitalise on their errors and cut ours out. That's why I believe you can look beyond the result.
And I reckon with an overhaul in the summer we'll have even better players who deliver more. I've never been a glass half full type, but yesterday was nothing like the doom and gloom of the 4 nil game for instance where we were by far the poorer team. Yesterday we dominated possession and territory for long periods. We just didn't capitalise on opportunities, and as stated gifted goals and got Clancied.

Ryan Jack has been superb as well, has his critics but when he's fit he's a quality player imo

Lundstram has been playing through injury for months.  A fit version of him is most welcome in the team.

Has this been confirmed as true? Someone said on here a couple of months ago that he had been taking injections for most of the season as well. Anyone in the know?
If true then there's hope for him yet. Some posters seem to want to ged rid of just about every player but that just isn't going to happen. We're not bringing in a full new team of first teamers. 

To be honest we’ll not learn too much more about Beale this season.
He’s shown he can put together a winning run and he’s obviously clever in a footballing sense. Whether he can win the league next year will largely be dependent on those sitting in the boardroom (especially the one in the booster seat).

The doom and gloom is completely and utterly justified.
The executive board only care about themselves and vanity projects like NEH. From the outside there is no coherent plan to overhaul the tarriers; if anything there's clearly an acceptance of being second best providing we qualify for Europe and tick off a few commercial objectives.
The team is stagnant and the recruitment department responsible for resolving that, is incompetent. Many of the players have been here for too long and have chucked it and/or do not have the mentality to be champions. We have no real, sellable assets - certainly on current form, anyway.
Beale was getting the benefit of the doubt given results but a blind man can see we've been riding our luck in terms of performances and yesterday was absolutely the worst day to commit his first managerial mistakes. His chat re. "buying starters" but then giving "this team" a chance doesn't help.
Perhaps the result is still raw but I all I can see is us now going through the motions to the end of the season, no doubt bottling the Scottish Cup, hearing the same platitudes etc.

Not sure if mentioned, but Alan McGregor played well.

He looks a very tough, hardened and clever player.

I think winning these games with a fight and some drama, can be character building. Not bothered who fears us or otherwise as that is in the mind anyway. Fact is that in all these games under Beale, we are the team that has not been bettered.........no matter what has went on in the game.
That is a big thing.
 

I love Morelos but I wouldn't give him a new contract. He'd have to take a pay cut for me to want to sign him and that's never going to happen. He is too unreliable between his fitness and his general attitude.
Kent I would offer another contract to, no idea what he is on or what the team budget is but I'd make give him a contract that puts him in our top earner bracket. Don't think that will be enough to keep him though.
No idea what Kent wants, is it more money? An EPL club? A CL club? There is a small part of me that thinks we might do a Goldson and sign him up in the summer once he's seen who else is in for him.
 
 

Opinions change....it's the nature of supporting your team....I seriously wouldn't have given a single fuck back in November if I never saw Kent or Morelos in a Rangers shirt ever again!!
Ten weeks later Kent has almost made me change opinion on him where I'm now swaying towards hoping he stays....as for Alfie, if continues to perform and keep up his scoring form then yes I will also be swaying towards him staying.....maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but nobody can deny that Wednesday was our most complete league performance this season....low and behold the above mentioned two are back playing at a decent level for us....like it or lump it when we play well then 9/10 both Kent & Alfie are playing well

The problem is it is a stupid pass.  He could play it more diagonal and accomplish more or less the same result without the risk.  Kamara used to do the same pass under Gerrard at the beginning and now he doesn't.

You would never know a game of football lasts 90 minutes by the knee jerk reactions during a match thread. 
Even Tyson went 12 rounds sometimes.

Goldson is about the best of the level in Scottish football for the moment.
Any player in Scotland above that is worth millions and is sold elsewhere. There is not a player in our current team, who would match an all time great...........apart from AM in his prime. Not a problem, there is no use looking back.
 

Tav wouldn't need to take Maeda out if he actually tried to go and deal with the ball instead of shitting himself and getting caught in two minds. Maeda takes a heavy touch, the ball is there for Tavernier to boot it in to the stand.

Scum came to Ibrox. They managed 2 shots on target, gave away a daft penalty and went away with a point.
