What has he offered going forward consistently this season or seasons past
People do to him what they do to dessers, goldson etc, they see one good moment in a match and forget the other 90mins of absolute pish
People were defending tavs bottle after last weel saying "he took the pressure penalty" when in actual fact had he not shat the bed we might not have been 2 down at half time
Over 90mins, when was the last time tav, goldson, etc played consistently well? Fucking months ago if that
I don't think I mentioned anything to do with Tavs performance last week and certainly didn't mention anything with his penalty excusing his shambolic performance for the rest of the game ?
I think on his day he can still offer us something going forward but preferably a new signing and actual right winger in the summer who could produce similar numbers would be ideal . I think his days as our rightback and captain should be numbered

Still gutted about yesterday but I think this might suit us for the run in, I think it's clear that we really struggle under pressure, so maybe leading the league at this stage isn't for the best, we might be better off going top as late in the day as possible, that way we have less time to fuck it up.
I admire the optimism but a Rangers team that isn't comfortable with being top of the pile is never a Rangers team
We need to get back to winning ways and do our best to take it to the wire however we have seen this story too many times before from some in our squad countless times

Not sure I think his time with us is up as he still offers a lot going forward
However his time as a right back and captain for me is done
I have questioned his mentality and bottle for years , thought that we were seeing a change under Clement particularly in December / Jan period.
Vital part of the season with a title on the line and your captain is throwing in 2 performances like his last two is unforgivable .
Time and time again the whole mentality issue Raises its head with him and the senior players and there is no smoke without fire. Bar 55 and Europe they have crumbled time and time again when the sleeves need rolled up and results need dug out

Even this Dundee saga has shown up the usual suspects
5 postponements causes by their pitch. Then you have John Hartson and Sutton circling the wagons spouting utter guff
Incapable of any sort of impartiality or even producing a thought that is their own. Did any of these two offer any previous opinions on Dundee's pitch issues until it was Rangers that was involved ?
-
Only in Scotland could Rangers start to get criticism from parts of the media for Dundee's pitch causing it's 5th postponement of the season
Hartson , Sutton etc you expect but even Simon Jordan has stuck his nose in waffling utter shite.

Sutton tells Cantwell to do his talking on the pitch
Cantwell who played a major part in the build up to our third goal
Although to be fair Callum McGregor played just as important a role in the build up for our second

this was a good one
We beat them twice already under Smith on his return the previous season but the title was already wrapped up by Celtic . This one really drummed home to them Rangers and Walter were back when it mattered and the next 4 years proved it

Definitely definitely definitely this.
THAT Albertz free kick. Then a double by Erik Bo Andersen.
Stunning performance from Goram.
Smith running up the touchline and celebrating with the fans after Bo Anderson slips it in is iconic from that game

Has to be the 3-0 game to win the league at the piggery, though special mention to the double win in November 2004 when we beat them twice in the space of a week.
The win at parkhead later that 2004-5 season was massive too
First time we had beat them there in 5 years at that point

Both teams are better than they were a month ago. We look a bit fresher after the break and getting some key names back.
They’re going to be a different team with CCV, Hatate and McGregor back for the run in.
It’s a must win for us as not confident we will take anything from them or that they will drop points on the run in.
Get off yer knees
We are playing them at Ibrox in a huge title defining game . I believe we are capable of turning up and beating them. McGregor has been out only a few weeks for them , the time when they were getting close to another car park meltdown he was getting it in the neck more than most and starting every week

2-0 after 47 minutes and battering them at the end looking for an equaliser.
I’ll take 0 shots and an own goal for the win. We get loads of shots against everyone. They were just far more clinical than us that day when the chances fell to them
I am sure dessers was through 1 on 1 twice in the first half and fucked it
Other than that the major annoyance for me on that day was McGregor getting the freedom of the pitch far too often again

People talking meltdowns from them are hilarious, our support would’ve been the same if it was Clancy or Collum
Aye our fans would moan on here and social media and that would be the end of it
Watch the Celtic mouthpieces in the media give their thoughts and opinions on Beaton over the next few days and the pressure ramp up
-
I know everyone of them is big but this feels like the biggest derby in well over a decade
I feel like this title will be defining for how the next few seasons pans out for us or them

Surely it wasn't the salt of the earth Hibs fans who launched a pyro towards the stand full of Rangers fans after our third?
Didnt hear any hurty words from them right enough as they didn't make fuck all else noise the whole game

You know enough about things when even Popcorn teeth says they are shambles.
Neil Lennon says the entire matter is a "non-story" and called out the Jambos as "pedantic".
Speaking on PLZ Soccer the ex-Hibs and Hoops boss said: "When you go to Hampden, you get your own branding in each of the dressing rooms, whether it's a semi-final or a final.
“Obviously the girls, or Rangers, thought it was the same thing to do at Tynecastle.
"For me it's nothing, just pick it up, say 'thanks Hearts for the venue, we've won the cup.'
"It's so pedantic. Then they're saying it's a pity the focus has been taken away from the final. But you're the ones making the statement and the noises.
"It's a non-story, just let it go. They're appealing to a small minority.”
It shows the lack of quality on the PLZ show that Lennon is the one who genuinely comes across as the most level headed and sane contributor when he is on
Seen a clip a few months back when the league cup was around the quarter or semi final stages and the were asked to predict there winner with celtic obviously already out. Aberdeen , Hibs (who both had honking starts to the season) etc were all trotted out before it went to a bemused Lennon for his pick and he just genuinely looked around and said something along the lines of are you all aware Rangers are still in the tournament

He's probably the fittest and most reliable player we have for being match fit week in week out
Getting rid of him in the summer would be crazy

Genuinely one of my favourite things in football are these Thursday evenings
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. It's a completely different pressure to the weekly nerves of the league right now and a golden opportunity for another European quarter final appearance
Always remind myself that it was only 6-7 years ago I genuinely questioned if we would ever be a decent force on the European stage again or at least for a good long while. At times even group stage football seemed a far off dream. What's happened since then has been incredible in Europe

I think Uefa would push hard on Rangers to open Ibrox for a screening
Would probably look at encouraging Rangers fans without tickets to Belfast with maybe trying to set up fan zones there / maybe open Windsor park for a screening of the game or something. Although not sure a massive influx of bevvied up Rangers fans arriving for the day and night in Belfast would result in any less bother but Uefa would see that as not their problem

Do we get to keep Hibs now ?

Meltdown because they’re shite and went out of the cup I think
We are witnessing the meltdown we missed from everyone else during our 55 season .
Sure we got to see and laugh at the Celtic support in full meltdown that season but the closed doors spared us the tears and snotters from every other set of fannies in this country
Tav's time is up.
