Yet very possibly correct mate ... but some things bite a wee bit harder than others ... and do adversely affect or cloud a person's overall judgement at times.
His piece did have genuine positives ... and hopefully he will come back to the writing style that we all admired about him without the knuckle dragging add ons.
As said by Bluedignity above .... "We don't want to be turning on our own" .... and I can certainly agree with that sentiment ... but sometimes they can make it difficult to see their point .... because we are fed up of some of the shit that is printed about us in conjunction with the scabby bunch.
In the end we have virtually no one on our side ... and I think we should be pointing out the error of their ways to former players when they fuck up.
Social media gives us that voice ... and let's them know how we feel ..... and we do it with no money changing hands .... unlike Kris and the rest of them.
We do it to slap down unfair and unjust criticism of our team and its followers .... gratis.

Agree mate,
VAR in itself is probably a fair operating system .... and I think all the answers to clear up any missed or controversial disputes are right there within it .... cutting out the human error that happens without the system in place.
The glaringly blatant flaw in the use of VAR .... is that human interference ... (as in this case) ... is the corrupt factor that does not allow it to make the correct decisions.
Until the human operators are professionally trained to correct this obvious imbalance .... we would best be without this system ... because it is of no value if it is being manipulated by unscrupulous agents to benefit their own biased agendas.
