AFCON is an absolute baw ache for us every time - only upside to this at all is that there is still time to bring in a replacement.  Real blow to the team tho.

Ryan Jack and the injuries he has come back with from the Scotland squad were the same mate .... total disaster in similar cases equals our loss.

Aye but mate, Ally McCoist was 18.

    Dessers is 29.

I have still got some old VHS tapes somewhere in the attic of all the howlers Super missed when at Sunderland and infamously with us and of course all his memorable game winning belters ... definitely one of our best strikers ever ... eventually .... 😛

Loved his retort when Alfredo became our top scorer in Europe ... when asked this opinion of that he said (paraphrased) .... Pretty good I suppose ... but I never played in the Europa League ... all my goals were in the Champions league ... 😇

I've no issues with him being subbed last night. He put a shift in but like others understandably struggled to be creative. I've also no issues a player being disappointed at being subbed. He wasn't disrespectful to anyone though and acknowledged each sub who came on which is what you said he didn't do.

You make a good argument for your opinion as I Acknowledged  mate ...  I also believe my opinion has some merit to it and is only a difference of opinions .... so let's leave it there and agree to disagree.

Are you mental? He wants to play football. You want him to dance a jig when he comes off? Of course he's not happy.

Ask any decent manager which of these two attitudes they would prefer in a player  and I'd bet money they would side with somebody like Cantwell.

Aye ...In my younger days I most certainly was .... I've mellowed a wee bit now though and understand the point you are making mate.

    See above post mate ....

Do you want him to be pleased to be subbed?

He acknowledged each of the 3 players who came on last night as he was being subbed off.

My point was that ... due to the amount of games we have coming up and the need to give others coming back from injury playing time also ... TC surely must see this as being why he was subbed mate ... and it has nothing to do with how he feels as this approach by the Gaffer is what is best for the whole squad overall.

It is just my personal opinion of the way he sometimes carries himself when subbed and feel he should realise this and be a bit more professional and not take it as a slight on his part or his ability ... which is not in doubt when he is on his game.

As you correctly said it was like playing on a ploughed tattle field where again the risk to injury on a surface like that could cost us dearly going forward ... and because he can be a game changer when on his game ... I feel it was the right move to sub him and keep him ready for the Hibs game .... where on a better surface he would be able to contribute more to the benefit of the team.

His performances have been mediocre recently.

I rate him, just wish he would keep things simple at times for the good of the team.

Don't want him to be a fancy footballing maverick when a simple pass can result in a goal.

One thing that gets me about him ... and I may be wrong mind you .... but every time he is subbed he looks right pissed off ... as if it is an insult and never actually acknowledges the player who replaces him .... might be nit picking but he needs to realise the gaffer is doing it mainly to keep the squad healthy ... and as part of the squad he must surely see this and not take umbrage all the time.

His performances this season are not up to what he can actually produce ... that's what he should be concentrating on and he needs to bin the petted lip and grow up.

    Don’t think so.

Sadiq and Herrera up there too but none quite as pish as Dessers.

People screaming for Lawrence Shankland - I’d rather have fucking Lawrence of Arabia than Dessers.

Last May when we were being linked with him, before we had even signed him, I said that he was not very impressive. I realise now that was a huge ... compliment ...

    FTFY mate .... 😛

Refs willing to let clubs listen to var if they get paid more. Seems a really fair proposal from them...

They have necks a brass monkey would be proud of.

The only increase that would be considered is in their performance on the pitch ... and a card system introduced for when they screw up ... whereby they are punished for their sins with the loss of their match fees as an example.

Does this not sum things up when the contractors we used for EH (over budget) are sponsoring the scum and die hard tims.

Our club is a shambles at time the way it's being run.

I remember when football was a working class persons sport. A family event.

Clubs invited people to watch training for free.
    What have we become?????

Terrible way to treat an employee who obviously loves our Club.

13k is a measly payout for being sacked unjustly, and without a specific reason.

The whole saga goes against our principles and I am embarrassed by it.

I agree with you mate .... scandalous narcissistic behaviour from our board to even allow this to go to tribunal ... and the sum paid out is a pittance.

I generally wouldn't give them the pleasure of feeling embarrassed mate .... but in this case I can't help but feel the same as you do.

Thats ok mate, these things happen. Despite us using different forums ultimately we all want the same thing and have one thing in common, our club and it being successful. I’ve probably been daft in my younger days slagging this place off and no doubt some of yous have as well with FF but we shouldn’t ever be enemies and the more Rangers forums the better.

in regards to the post about the tribute night for Jimmy, I spoke to the people involved with it and it will actually be at NEH now. The club have nothing to do with the event. It’s being arranged by Jim and some well known Rangers fans. First and foremost it’s to celebrate the life of one of the best guys ever to be involved with our club and give him the recognition he deserves. Also to point out, Jimmy’s grandson being on the park was nothing to do with the club. He was there thanks to Disco Lavery.

You should visit here a wee bit more mate ... refreshing comes to mind.
