It's mental the amount of them that believe this nonsense. A BBC article written about the issue with the fans and board even said that celtic fc was a club built for the poor.

......... because as you are no doubt aware mate they were being fed and sheltered by kindly Protestants ..... then when it looked like they may convert .... in jumped the priesthood.

Honestly these people who try and alter the historic facts are so fucking dumb.

And there lays the problem, the scum are shite but unfortunately at the moment we are utter shite too, perhaps when we get Danilo and Lawrence etc fully fit we can then challenge them, yesterday was absolutely shite but a brilliant win, hopefully in January we can replace Dessers and Lammers with decent players.

How did the wee lad enjoy the game mate?

His first taste of victory must have been a joy to behold.

I'm not sure it was as bad as some make out .

At least this time when we went a goal down we did at least try to get back into the game . In previous seasons when that's happened we've ran about like headless chickens , not looking close to scoring never mind winning .

A missed penalty , one off the line , a couple of cross balls , one of which went through three Rangers players , all in the first half , with hearts showing little other than their goal .

We were worthy of our win and just because the goals came late doesn't change that . Yeah , it wasn't perfect but we're trying to get a bit of momentum going and that was another step forward from this debacle of a season .

    Top post mate.

Your breakdown says it all ... we are progressing and with this squad that is as much as we can expect.

Danilo said in his post match interview .... we are a team who are fighting the whole 90 minutes ... and that in my mind is definite progress.

I've always seen Hagi as playing in the kind of role Beale was playing Cantwell in this season, a more withdrawn Pirlo type role where he could dictate play from deeper.

Would work with Hagi for me as he hasnt the pace or quick feet that Cantwell has. They could compliment each other, although i'm not sure Hagi has the quality longer term.

    Good breakdown mate.

I am also a Hagi fan for his skill and his positional sense in the final third and occasional welcome goal threat .... but as you say his lack of pace is a major drawback to his game in the helter skelter of Scottish football.

It seems like I unintentionally fucked up the point I thought I was trying to make. I'm sorry for unintentionally angering anyone in the process. I've decided my posting days are now over.

You are not the first and won't be the last mate ..... I got what you meant and I was also at that tragic game  ....  and thank my lucky stars I got home safely that day.

I am glad that Souness participated in our most recent management search.

He can read people, doesn't  take prisoners and has been a very successful at Rangers. He knows the profile required for a successful Rangers manager  because he has literaly lived it,and then some.

The board were wise to involve him in our recent management search. Not often I praise them btw.

Souness would see right through previous Delboy types and wannabes a mile off.

He is 70 now so he can't get too involved in our Club on a daily basis, but I would be happy for him to participate in interviews for strategic roles such as manager and DOF in future for the above reasons.

It's the sort of "advisory" role Graeme would excel in imo.

Good post mate ..... thought for a moment Reformation Bear had nicked your phone there .... you are generally more concise .... :p:

I totally agree with all you said and hope it comes to pass for all the right reasons you pointed out.

One thing I loved yesterday was in the first half he chased all the way back to nearly the bye line to put in a challenge. With the comparison to Sakala, always thought Sakala was guilty of being a bit lazy off the ball and I think Sima is a better finisher than him.

    I agree mate,

I think that most of our players have been guilty of being lazy off the ball mate ... yesterday's game and the team's performance was down to the way the manager wants to play now .... and the players seem to have taken his intentions onboard .... hopefully it is lasting as they have all been notified that they have been given a new lease of life by PC and don't revert back to past under achievements.

I thought that Sima deserved the MOTM yesterday but wasn't surprised when they announced Raskin for the honour ..... how things change when the team get a good all round result.

No arguing Dessars has been pretty shite and I get the frustration but booing and shouting abuse at an individual lacking in confidence only makes matters worse.

When the team loses I don’t like hearing it either, well that was until this season.

It felt to me that some of the players just didn’t get what’s expected of them playing for Rangers, never more so when they walked round the park applauding any of us who remained, it felt like a few of them believed we only stayed behind to appreciate the effort they put in, that might have been acceptable at one or two of their previous clubs but they deserved be told in no uncertain terms what’s acceptable and what isn’t at Ibrox.

Good post mate ..... Hopefully the team now get into a winning state of mind after a very good all round performance yesterday .... Dessers was unlucky not to score more and his overall performance was much more acceptable too.

    Onwards and upwards.

Just saw the whole thread mate and liked your post.
There aint too many of his generation left.
Been reading Harold Davis 'Tougher Than Bullets'
We really were spoiled for choice back then.

Sad when they pass on Scotty .... and as you say we were spoiled with the mostly home grown talent back then that we had the privilege to see in the flesh.

They have left us with great memories mate .... Harold was a proper hard case and a proper war hero too.

    GBNF all of them.

i dont feel as shite the day as yesterday, but its been far worse this time round than the first time I had it (only thing I noticed last time was a scratchy throat)

I may just give it a miss as I guess I might still be carrying it after being negative for a day or two, isnt worth the risk to pass it on to anyone else.

    Good man.
