The two goals he's scored so far have came from the same type of chances we were creating last season.  Tavernier and Candeias crossing the ball in to the box isn't something new.

Personally, I couldn't give a toss what they look like or which version of the magic fairy in the sky they pray to as long as we keep grinding out the results. I remember an old bloke said to me years ago when Amo signed, " I would rather 11 staunch Presbyterian players and win fuck all than have half a team of Tims" .... Well bollocks to that.

100%. He went nuts when he scored, all this lack of commitment nonsense disproved with one flick of his head. He is still young, still learning, hopefully with his goal tonight he will have regained the confidence to just have a go.

We did though, it's a fact. As a team we score goals, but we lose games through conceding too often.
I think folk are confusing likeability with quality to some extent.

Until Windass is playing as part of a front 2 we’ll not see the best from him. Still the only player in scotland over the last 4/5 years to get double figures in both goals and assists

I'll go against the grain on this one with my tin hat.
Windass' biggest attribute last season was his goals and assists. His biggest failings were that he seemed to disappear and was always accused of not putting in a shift. Tonight however I thought he worked really hard for the team, tracking back a number of times and also winning the ball back to set up the first. Tonight was one of the few games where I felt Windass actually seemed to be involved throughout. He put in a shift but he also still managed to get into great positions and create some chances for his teammates. Sadly his big strength from last season, his finishing let him down, as did the finishing of his teammates. He should have easily scored a few tonight.
If Windass' can keep up the work rate, and reproduce his goals and assists from last season I would be more than happy to give him a chance. I thought he was okay tonight. Obviously okay won't cut it but if he can get the balance of work rate and finishing/assisting then he definitely can be an asset for us. 

Thought Airfield was brilliant beside him too. The experience he’ll pass on will be a huge benefit to the younger boys there.

Yes but let's not get carried away. People saying he should be in the team for next week already instead of Murphy. It happens all the time where a youth player will come on for his debut, manage to not trip up over his own feet and he's already a world class player. He looked great and has been getting rave reviews since the second he arrived here but give the boy some room to grow into the first team and see if he can sustain a level of performance that's fitting to be a Rangers starter. Great impact from him today though and I'm excited by him but he shouldn't be in a position where we rely on him even as a 2nd choice player.

I'd spend a good whack on a goal scoring number 9, then get a versatile forward. After that, a left back, maybe a box to box and if the money is still there a right back and centre-back.

Needs to tell them to get a grip and try turn them into winners. They’re football ability isn’t really in question. It’s their mentality that needs changed.

I can just about understand your point of view by the fact you've grown up with an English father so have cheered on England from an early age. It breaks my heart however how much of our support have surrendered our own national team to all the Rangers haters. Historically as a support we've always been the mainstay of the Scotland support. When and how did this change? It seems to me it has become popular amongst the younger generation of our support to hate Scotland. Fuck sake it's our country and I'm not giving up on it. I want every Rangers player who is Scottish to be representing the country. If that happens then we're doing well. I remember years ago under Walter a Scotland team had maybe 7 Rangers players (maybe just Rangers connections) in the starting eleven. The game had a strange kick off time so  it was during work. Friendly vs Japan maybe??? We had a telly set up at work and I kept shouting 'mon Rangers... I mean Scotland, as a wind up to the mixed group. It was our team but we've lost it in an incredibly short period of time because that wasn't too long ago.
People need to realise you don't get to choose your country. The SFA may be the governing body but don't get to tell me whether I'm Scottish or not.
