Couldn't complain if that was the lineup next week, to be honest. Papac or Wallace would be fine at LB. I would LOVE to drop Whittaker but all we have is Broadfoot (shite) and Cole (risky).

The thing that appeals to me most about that lineup is that Ortiz is being played on the RIGHT side! :P

McMillan?

STEVEN WHITTAKER could be set to play through the pain barrier at Inverness on Saturday after breaking a toe in Sweden last week.

The injury forced Whittaker to withdraw from the Scotland squad for tomorrow's friendly with Denmark and he is feeling considerable discomfort right now.

However, boss Ally McCoist is hopeful that he will be available for the lunchtime showdown with Terry Butcher's Highlanders.

Speaking to RangersTV McCoist said: "Steven Whittaker suffered a problem in the game against Malmo. He went for an x-ray and something has shown up in one of his toes.

"We don't think it is anything too major and we would hope he would be fit for Saturday's game at Inverness.

"We are going to sit down and have a chat with the doctor. Although it is very painful it might be a situation where he will be able to play with it. Obviously the most important thing is that he is right to play. We don't want to do any more damage so time will tell.

Why not just drop him, he's been poor in every game he has played in this season and let us down in Europe.

cant see many changes this weekend looks like whittaker edu mcculloch the 3 amigos will be safe for another week.

fortunately inverness have been total pish so far this season so not really much to worry about.

would have been a great oppertunity to try out a more balanced side with the euro game looming.
