Players refuse 15% wage cut?

Costly

Would anyone be averse to loaning out some of our higher earners? The likes of Shiels/Templeton could surely find a club somewhere? Maybe even send the likes of Foster/Smith (god knows who would take them) out on loan. Short term the wages saved could be more than the cuts being offered?

Only much good if 100% or the vast majority of their wages were taken on

We are spending 35% of income on playrr wages, it's costs elsewhere that are the problem.

I thought they said at the AGM that wages (all club wages) were nearly 100% of income. If that's the case player wages surely make up the largest percentage of that.

Graham Wallace suggested it to Lee McCulloch (meeting with McCoist and Captain) who proposed the Wage Cut to the rest of the squad...they were asked if they were open to a potential wage cut, 15% is purely speculation.

One of a number of ways to cut costs and this was asked as a suggestion.

So the board are asking staff to take a substantial paycut and you still canny see the warning signs?

Well no, I can't because it is an AVENUE that which Wallace will look into, and as said, they will reach an agreement and then nobody gets sold as we need every player as we can the now before fresh investment. The next avenue will now sell the deadwood who are on stupid money ie Temps and Cribari (Shiels is injured so can't sell him the now) then we will pay people off to get some money off the budget

Makes it sound much less dramatic certainly

Wallace has made it abundantly clear that we need to shed 15% from our costs so he's asked our playing staff to accept a 15% pay reduction imminently sensible proposal. The players of course can reject the proposal which they appear to have done, next step move on players to achieve the 15% required cut, normal business.

The books must be balanced I support Wallace, get the job done Mr Wallace & bring reality & common sense to IBROX.

Will never happen, that is why Wallace was brought in, to cut costs.

You need a workforce willing to accept the cost cutting and from the info being reported now, we don't have that. There's no guarantee of other team riding to our rescue with bids for our players and even if there are we cannot make them leave. Like I said earlier, the players now hold all the aces and can hold out to see their contracts honoured or receive pay offs. Either way it's not going to save us anything.
