not so much "last ditch" but also depending on the opposition and how they play too..... I agree with the "mates" comment though!

against top level opposition yeah, but against plumbers and bricklayers we, as the biggest club in scottish football, should have ample cover in every position even if it is a youngster for the last half hour

what ally did in the ramsdens cup final was disgraceful and imo a sacking offence

Moyes has lost 11 games this year in the league.

Ally has lost 0.

You can't sack a manager who hasn't lost in the league. That's like saying we should of sacked Walter for the way he played in the UEFA cup.

We got to the final but we played anti football!

He's been punted out of the league cup to minnows.

He got punted out of the cup final to minnows.

He got punted out of the Scottish cup.

It's a complete re run of the season before.

The guys a fucking dud.

It's preposterous to think Super Ally should be sacked. He's on for 100 points in the league.

Not even Brendan Rodgers or Pep can claim that sort of achievement. There's no way The Rangers board would risk losing their man to the likes of Liverpool, Barca or Bayern Munchen.

Ha ha, that proper cheered me up after moyes being sacked.

I know it is an argument well used about playing players out of position, but in my opinion it is fairly weak. A good player could almost play anywhere outwith their "natural" position, when asked to do so - particularly against poor opposition. To say a young developing player has a "natural" position is not always true, they are developing for a reason - to find that position, skill set, awareness, strength etc.. I am not totally dismissing it but it is a fairly weak argument.

A couple of examples - if you need a player to "cut in" rather than cross the ball - ie: Ribbery at Bayern - then playing him on the left despite him being right footed would be seen as playing him "out of position" - but he often plays that position depending on the opposition.

It is just an argument that is used too often but is not a strong one..

oh and Graham Roberts, enough said

Comparing playing a LB at LM with playing a winger on the opposite wing is a very weak argument.

garbage, mosrt managers would have got through the season undefeated. With the second highest wage bill in the country the very least we should demand is a Ramsdens cup and a domestic final. We have to be strategic and think of how we will reach th top in Scotland, we all know MCcoist aint the man to deliver

so how do we realistically do that with a wage budget a 1\3 of theirs? Find better cheap players than them? How with no scouts no scouting budget no budget for transfers? We are being run for second get used to it.

Yeah we do have the second highest wage budget but we also have the second highest turnover. Do we have the second highest paid execs?
