  1. 1. Is Ally the man for the job?

Yet the faux outrage from the Union of Fannies would go into overdrive if they did sack him.

100% agree. If they are so bothered about Ally why don`t they go running to the rhebel and tell them that they want Ally out ?

They know they can`t and want to use it against the board by saying they are weak. In fact it`s the UoF who a cowards for not coming out and saying they want rid off Ally.

Now they're cowards for not calling for change . Lol

Your point about overcoming the boos as a player is well made, however, his reinvention as the all-scoring, all-singing superstar, was punctuated by significant spells out of the side or on the bench.

The management game requires a sustained effort & concentration which, frankly, never appeared to be in his locker.

And we don't have a Hateley or Johnston to fill in for him while he gets his act together or has a lull in form.

That's just nonsense. His goals ratio never really dipped after the first year or so. His tally only decreased because he was used as a sub through personal preference of Souness. WHENEVER he was in the team, he scored goals and applied himself. His goalscoring rate was better than Johnstone's even when Johnstone was getting more game time.

Sure, sometimes he maybe had a few attitude issues off-field, but his form and on-field stats are pretty impeccable.

I hope this is not the beginning of an attempt to taint the history of his playing career now.

Sorry Ally your times up, leave now with respect or be sacked and lose it. Your decision at the moment

listen .Forget about Ally having having the balls to leave us .He won't but he will smile in his next interview and give it his best salesmens speach .No point in praying for his removal .Just won't happen .I will support the team and hope the entertainment is worthy of our support .

Go and think about why he wasn't fancied and was used as a sub. You've really answered it above yourself.

No, no attempt to decry his playing record, merely to remind that he had attitude issues as you, again, acknowledge yourself.

The point is that then, he had guys around to step in and do the business while he was sorting himself out - and he made a good job of that, leading to his great stats.

In this current role , he has no such support & it's full on all the time.

I might also add that his talent, leading to his great playing record, was based on razor-sharp instinct & reactions. He wasn't exactly a schemer, which may, perhaps, be a better quality to bring into management?

BTW - remember Johnstone played roughly hslf his career at centre back.

'And we don't have a Hateley or Johnston to fill in for him while he gets his act together or has a lull in form.'

That's decrying his playing record. He had no significant lull in form, nor was anyone required to 'fill in' for him. He didn't need to sort himself out. Any off-field problems were never reflected on the pitch.

He was a schemer. His play was based on as much as being in the right place and losing his man brilliantly. That's a schemer.

This kind of attempt to link his playing career to his management one is tenuous.

Those rogue 'e's again.
