Would you keep any of them ?, if so who ?

I would say :

Kris Boyd - Undecided

Kenny Miller - No

Lee McCulloch - No

Ian Black - No

Jon Daly - No

Bilel Mohsni - No

Stevie Smith - Yes

Kyle Hutton - Undecided

Richard Foster - NO

Steve Simonsen - NO

Lee Robinson - Yes

Sebastian Faure - Yes

Boyd I'm not sure about yet, if he starts scoring goals then yes if not then no chance. Miller no way has been nothing but a dissapointment I know he tries really hard but just well to slow now. McCulloch disgrace of a captain definitely not. Ian Black not one that I can't stand but no, when he signed I thought he would have done better than he has. Daly too slow and I can't remember the last time he scored this season, did well for us last year though but I just don't think we need him now. Mohsni done okay at times but usually makes stupid mistakes and can't pass the ball 5 yards, again don't think we need him anymore. Smith was decent when he filled in for Wallace last season and he takes a good free kick and a good corner but this season when he has played at left mid it just hasn't worked out which isn't his fault, so yes I would offer Smith a new contract but I would only keep him as a back up for Wallace at left back. Kyle Hutton a tricky one I was impressed by him when he played for us in the champions league and that but when I saw him in the 3rd division and last season I thought he was terrible I was wondering what the fuck had happened to him so I was Ragin when he got offered a deal at the end of last season, when he started getting games this season I still though he was terrible but in the last few games he has IMO picked up quite alot so if he keeps that up until the end of the season then yes I would offer him a new contract if not though then no I wouldn't. Foster definitely not one of if not THE WORST player I have ever seen in Rangers shirt when he was here at first when Walter was in charge I thought he was absolutely woeful I was so glad that he was only on loan and would be gone I couldn't fucking believe it when Ally signed him why ? how ? I mean how can you see a player like Ricky foster playing for and then leaving us and re fucking sign him, so it is a definite 100 % NO from me. Simonsen another one why the fuck did we give him another contract, in league 1 he made 1 good save he then played in the semi - final of the scottish cup against Dundee utd and fucked up big time and ruined our chances of getting through to the final, that should have been that his confidence was very low and he obviously never got it off his mind and never mananged to look past it,why was he offered a new contract ?, we had Scott Gallacher who ended up leaving because he wasn't even our 2nd choice, so IMO he should never have been signed again so No I wouldn't offer him another contract at the end of this season get him to fuck. Robinson not really much to say about him but what I have seen of him I have liked clearly much better than Simonsen and should have been 2nd choice after Bell, since he has come in to the side he has conceded 3 goals, 3 goals he couldn't have done anything about IMO he is a solid enough 2nd choice goalkeeper aafter Bell and yes I would offer him a new contract. Faure I didn't know anything about him when he signed in the 3rd division, I though he looked okay but gave him the benefit of the doubt, started playing at centre half which I never though he was brilliant in but it was his real position, then I saw him playing at right back and thought he done quite well, he then of course was kicked out of the team when foster and Mohsni were signed which I wasn't to bothered about because I didn't think he was anything special, this season the first I seen of him he came on for foster at right back in a home game (can't remember who against) he was then kicked back out of the team when foster came back I kept wondering why the fuck isn't he getting a shot at right back over foster, then when Foster got injured before the hibs game and he got a shot I thought he played well and had a solid game, again against Raith I thought he did well and was quite creative when he came up the pitch and was always looking for the ball so a (tu) to faure from me for his performances in his last 2 game so yes I would offer him a new contract.

How anyone is 'undecided' on Kyle Hutton is beyond me. The boy is an imposter and once he leaves us his next employer will tell the real truth!!

Extra Comments/Details/Reasoning:

Boyd I'm not sure about yet, if he starts scoring goals then yes if not then no chance.

Miller no way has been nothing but a dissapointment I know he tries really hard but just well to slow now.

McCulloch disgrace of a captain definitely not.

Ian Black not one that I can't stand but no, when he signed I thought he would have done better than he has.

Faure I didn't know anything about him when he signed in the 3rd division, I though he looked okay but gave him the benefit of the doubt, started playing at centre half which I never though he was brilliant in but it was his real position, then I saw him playing at right back and thought he done quite well, he then of course was kicked out of the team when Foster and Mohsni were signed which I wasn't to bothered about because I didn't think he was anything special, this season the first I seen of him he came on for foster at right back in a home game (can't remember who against) he was then kicked back out of the team when Foster came back I kept wondering why the fuck isn't he getting a shot at right back over Foster, then when Foster got injured before the Hibs game and he got a shot I thought he played well and had a solid game, again against Raith I thought he did well and was quite creative when he came up the pitch and was always looking for the ball so a (tu) to Faure from me for his performances in his last 2 game, so yes I would offer him a new contract.

Out of the players discussed by the thread-starter, I'd like to see Faure and Robinson retained.

Faure, in my eyes, is good technically, but some 2-3 years after arriving at the club, he is still a poor athlete. That's quite unbelievable to me -- in fact, it is unnaceptable and needs to be worked on by him and the club. If he can't do it, he should be moved-on also.

There are a number of players who should not have been brought to the club (or brought to the club again) in the first place. I don't hold that against those players (as they have jumped at the chance to play for Rangers). Instead, I simply expect them to give everything they have in the battle for promotion.

There are a number of players who can go out on a high, all guns blazing. If this is to be their last season, they might as well go out fighting with everything they have on the pitch.

when reading through the list if players I couldn't help but wonder: why were 90% of them even signed in the first place? How the heck could someone even slightly knowledgeable about football make so many terrible blunders with regards to signing duds?!

The amount of time, effort and money wasted on these players is incredible. Just think if those same resources had been put to better use.

we keep throwing money at players and keep getting duds. More diligence is needed when selecting new signings. Moshni for example couldn't even make the grade at southend united ffs

Out of the list I would keep Lee Robinson and maybe Faure. the rest can go. most ought not have ever played for Rangers at all.

Like most people would be happy enough with Robinson getting another year or two contract as a relatively cheap back up to Bell. He's done ok since getting his chance. By that time hopefully Kelly or McCrorie will be challenging for the number 1 spot. Undecided on Faure. The rest should be let go. Surprised people are going with yes for Hutton, not good enough imo.

Really hope the board/manager have the balls to let most/all of the out of contract players go and try and build a team for next year with more quality, have a horrible feeling quite a few will get new contracts though.

Quite sure if it was in some way possible to replace the full senior squad then i dont think anyone would loose much sleep if the lot went.Unfortunately we dont have a magic wand or a wad of cash to replace what is undoubtedly the worst Rangers squad in decades.

Only 1's I would keep are Hutton and Robinson. Hutton has played a few good games for us and I think has the potential to be good as long as he has a decent partner in cm. Robinson looks like a good back up keeper. The rest can go.

How many chances do you want to give Hutton, he needs to just leave. We have better players in our youth setup who should be playing before him.

This is my first post, so hi to everyone and thanks for letting me join to the admin etc...

If the new regime are talking about leading Scottish football again, is this not an opportunity to bin a lot of dead wood from the senior squad and replace them with actual professional athletes from abroad, at least for a short while? There seems to be a rejection from the dressing room when someone like PLG or John Collins tries to demand a work rate and discipline I would expect from someone earning several thousand pounds a week, a work rate and discipline which would be taken for granted if you wanted to play in Germany, Spain, France or Italy. Basically players seem to think it's OK to be out drinking and eating sh1te, this sort of thing would get you sacked from a lower level college sports team if you were in the USA. If a new coach or manager had almost an entire first team who were used to full time training and actually treated their job like a profession from day one then it would be the norm, rather than a step change.

If nothing else it would set a standard for the youngsters and let them know its not OK to be out drinking and ignoring nutrition and still expecting to get a bumper pay cheque from an institution like Rangers.

how anyone can still have this belief is beyond me, the guy should be run out of the club for being a charlatan! (It'd be the first run he's managed in a few years too)
