He was unplayable at that time and we got a number of offers during January but he wanted to stay. Eventually got up to 9m and he was persuaded to join Spurs. By the time the match was rearranged, Boruc and McGeady were available and the best attacking full back in the country had left us. Their scummy behaviour paid off big time. There seems to be no limit to their begging, only they could go that low.
