It’s a conspiracy... “Nine Dundee United players will miss their Scottish Premiership match at Livingston after being deemed close contacts of Covid-positive staff members. Three staff tested positive for coronavirus, forcing the entire coaching team, including manager Micky Mellon, to self-isolate. And after discussions with the Scottish FA and Tayside health board, nine squad members must also now self-isolate for 14 days. Academy coach Thomas Courts will take charge of the team for the Livingston match on Saturday. Now that clubs know about the match forfeit Dundee Utd can make a decision if to play a weakened team or forfeit. The other 2 didn't get that option. stevemac 5,001 Posted December 4, 2020 Share Posted December 4, 2020 surely if they are 9 key players down we could also play a "weakened" team therefore concentrating heavily on Poznan? if we better the result Benfica get we go top (afaik) rest the likes of morelos, tav, barasic, davis, kamara, kent etc. bring in guys like bassey, itten, defoe, barker/jones etc. and we should still put a weakend dundee hibs team to the sword quite comfortably.
