There is probably issues about biasing the trial to be honest.

You are not meant to consider someone's past crimes when deciding if they are guilty for one they have not yet stood trial for.

They can be taken into account at the sentencing stage though if found guilty.

Thanks to Celtics ongoing telecomunication problems with authorities  Torbett was off the radar as it were and was allowed to continue abusing kids until 1997 when Brazil nailed him.

Disgusting that they are ALL still denying everything. You would think the guilt of something so horrific would eventually lead you to tell the truth but these animals have no decency whatsoever. I hope the victims get the justice they deserve.

I seem to remember the contract he had with them was quoted at something of around 1M for 4/5yrs for supplying plastic trophies etc, they'd have to be gold plated to be worth that.

The board of Cricket Scotland has resigned with immediate effect following allegations of racism.

The directors sent the letter of resignation to the interim chief executive officer this morning.

 The SFA sit on their hands and do fuck all.

It comes after Sky News revealed yesterday that a "devastating" review into Scottish cricket has found it be institutionally racist.

Scotland correspondent James Matthews reported that the review - expected to be published on Monday - has led to multiple referrals to a number of organisations, including Police Scotland, for racist behaviour.

Ask yourself  Mr Maxwell  what is the greater evil abusing countless  children or being a thick racist , I know what is more worthty of a serious review.

A unknown  spokesman for Scottish Football said we fully agree that a public inquiry should be held into this abhorrent behaviour  by all those involved in cricket Scotland.

However the SFA officially have stated that themselves  and celtic football  club cant go on with an open investigation into the systematic  abuse of children  at this time , Anwar, Humza and Nicola refuse to comment at this time but feel ra cellic have made the right response to the scurrilous rumours made against them.

It's unreal when you see the scale and the numbers involved in this case.

Have to say I’ve also been gobsmacked at the shock and outrage (fully justified imo) over racism in cricket while the deafening silence over the industrial scale paedo network based at Parkhead continues.

Would never condone racism but raping children is a million times more serious.

As for Torbett’s trophy business, I ran Cubs and scouts teams in the early eighties and I also organised quiz night competitions. Be lucky if we spent a hundred on trophies, all in, so what was changing hands for a million certainly wasn’t wee trophies, cups and shields.
