Supersonic 4,664
One massive difference with the other "big derby" friendlies would be the obvious agreeance of our fénian board to accept the pr slant that's been widely on show so far. Even in our official comms it's now all of a sudden the glasgow derby as well. I doubt Barca/Real etc would agree to be bandied about as a laughing stock fuck toy that we are. Willis 20,919
The taigs are evolving, they no longer have pure special relationships with other clubs (Barca, Man City, and now Rangers) they now have special connections to entire continents HG5
Essandoh 21,891
Glasgow has been circling the plug hole of modern football for a while now despite how quickly it swallowed up the English game. Well that’s us we’ll and truly down it now. This is the beginning of the end for any meaningful form of the people’s game at Rangers This is a Glazers moment HG5
ThenNowForever 232
Need to get the Australian supporters clubs on board with a boycott. Absolutely go to the other game as it may be their only chance to see us live so couldn’t grudge that but boycott that circus game
Real Ranger 3,218
For some Rangers fans, they’ve went from give them the full Broomloan to being outraged at the thought of playing against them in a tournament which will give our fans living in Australia a chance to watch us. I’m not bothered either way. Laudrup72 and AljayBoy

The Dude 20,027
Other than the cheque we get for playing, I don't particularly see what the 'commercial value' is to playing in a half-empty stadium to a ground full of British ex-pats who mostly support Rangers or Celtic anyway. Hardly going to draw a huge new audience to us. ElBufalo20, Clemdog and SkylineBlue

I’m convinced the board see this as a way of building a stronger relationship with the celtic board than anything else They're that far out of touch Robertson will be meeting them at Old Firms asking how their families and friends are doing, complimenting them on their recent success, before leaving while they laugh at him behind his back He’s an absolute weakling and Bisgrove is a modern football rat Supersonic and falkirkNS

Popular Post blaudrup 6,279
FWIW Postecoglou isn't remotely box office in Sydney. (People that actually follow football here will be impressed by EPL / Barcelona / Milan, etc - Del Piero played for Sydney for example. It's only kind of news to people that don't follow football at all, and probably wouldn't buy a ticket. Football has gone on here without him, he's a forgotten ex-national manager, who gives a shit) It's exactly like trying to fill an 80,000 stadium in Scotland with the offer of the return of 'BurleyBall' or 'ClarkeBall'. It's laughable bollocks. The point I'm making is that it only appeals to one set of fans - theirs. There is literally no neutral appeal for that angle in this city. I mean, you might fill Meadowbank with it. Willis, HG5, McEwan's Lager and 3 others
