Never understood why folk were booing when he got subbed, was blowing out his arse full second half

as was Jack and just shows that a lot of people just can’t actually see what is happening on the pitch in real time and this was a time when the heart was ruling the head with the ones who booed

Morelos was fucked but when you need a goal then surely Morelos is a better bet than Aribo or Kent.

At that stage we had 4 centre midfielders on park too.

Kent hasn’t scored this year and  Aribo and Arfield have 3 goals between them since the break.

3 goals between our attacking midfielders is absolutely shocking.

It’s not. You need a goal and you take off the only other goal scorer we have, it’s daft as fuck despite it working

Kamara having more goals than Kent is hilarious

Can’t argue with much of that. Aribo needs a rest and shouldn’t have played 90 mins. Thought Kent was a lot better when Bassey switched to the left so could of been the reason for him staying on.

It is. In football no matter who you are sometimes it’s just not your game and Aberdeen was one of those games for AM. He was way off it and was second to everything.

Manager gets paid to make big calls and he got that one right. If Morelos had stayed on and it finnished 0.0 a would of been questioning why he played the full 90

I disagree. Anybody questioning why you’d leave on your striker and only real hope of a goal is a moron tbh.

Your striker has to play as a striker and not think he's a midfielder or a winger though as he's decreasing his chances of scoring.

And he’s still the only one you’d trust to get a goal

Not late in the match on Saturday he wasn’t.

Roofe came on and tracked down everything and I suppose he was backing up his recent internet message that he’s not getting enough game time and in his natural position as centre forward.

I believe AM was trying not to get injured on Saturday so he would be fully fit and firing for Thursday.

Since we got the 3 points, I’m now looking forward to AM score or contribute to at least 2 goals for us on Thursday.

Was a massive gamble taking our most prolific goalscorer off, as stepps and FaE said definitely think there was room for both.

It paid off in the end tho

Aribo should have been the the sub imo

Roofe should’ve been on for Sakala in all honesty

He might very well be tired but Aribo is back into the same performances he showed regularly under Gerrard. Completely passing the buck and unwilling to drive team forward.

For two months at end of last year he took on the responsibility of being our main man and was dominating games. Now, he’s taking 3/4 touches and passing responsibility onto others.

We can’t have him, Arfield and Kent as 3 behind the striker. A position must be found for Roofe.

The biggest issue with him on Saturday is he was getting no where near the box. Sakala was the only one getting on the end of anything and he was hopeless.

We then changed things on the right hand side to try which should have led to Alfie getting into more influential positions and he was still drifting out wide and not influencing the game where he needed to be. Roofe was immediately more influential.

It was a good sub and it worked the way it intended.
