That's a different story which has improved this Summer.

It's like with Kent, the reason he hasn't is because it's notable that he doesn't score enough goals.

With Alfie, he hinders himself through attitude and application.

I detest the way some have a go at him over his league return. Also, he got 18 in the 18/19 season! Not a single penalty.

The highest scorer in the league last season had 13 goals!

20/21  - Edouard 18(2 pens)

19/20 - Edouard 22(3 pens)

18/19 - Morelos 18(0 pens)

17/18 - Boyd 18(2 pens)

16/17 - Boyce 23(5 pens)

Only two players have scored 20+ league goals in the last 6 seasons, both were in 16/17, our first season back and it was only due to taking penalties.

Imagine how many league goals Morelos would have each season if he took penalties..

Edouard had a return of 9, 15, 15 and 18 which included 6 penalties. 

Dembele was 17 and 9 with 5 penalties.

Can't recall either of those two getting criticised over their 'league return'.. Morelos can be criticised for many things but criticising his record in the league when he doesn't take penalties is absurd especially when you analyse similar level players who moved to better leagues!

Think you figures are not correct. You get 16m€ for getting into CL group and c. 10m€ for TV and coefficient share. Pretty sure a runto EL final was worth more than that.

That's the thing for me. Reading between the lines, it doesn't really make much sense. Pulling contract talks is the bit that really doesn't make much sense to me. It's a huge gamble for the club to take it off the table with so little time left before he can talk to clubs. And from everything I know - and folk can put as much or as little weight into that as they like - you don't take such drastic action because you think a player isn't fit enough/working hard enough.

A couple of things stand out . 

1) It seems obvious this isn't confined to Saturday but the attitude has been an ongoing problem since we've returned . 

2) The ball's in Alfies court . Screw the nut and there's a way back . Carry on like a petulant wee child and your off ,  no good to us . 

It's all down to Morelos now .
