The disallowed goal

Doesn't matter what dessers did with his foot or leg, he never played the ball and stopped the tarriers playing it

Had dessera even slightly nicked the ball when planting his foot the goal stands

Their defender actually comes across Dessers path with his foot as he knows he's close to losing possession and in desperation is trying to make a turn that's never going to work.

Completely different scenario, the defender is in control of the ball while he guides it out the park

Can’t be as he hasn’t touched the ball so by the definition of that rule they are not in control of the ball and is obstruction.

Did you even look at the video in this thread? You have a right to moan about many things going on, but calling this a foul won't give you any more justification to gripe.

It’s not a clear and obvious error in which var was brought in for.

Under the laws of the game it's a foul, stop fucking grasping at straws.

You can clearly see a foul when you watch the video that the ref missed, so its clear and obvious.

Only in the eyes of a few. The majority don't see it as a foul, but see a kick on the calf.

If that's a foul, the game gets stopped every ten seconds.

What about the contact Maeda makes to Cantwell’s face. Would be soft but technically I believe that’s a foul?

If we’re going to win this league it will be by the tightest of margins. We can’t afford to be the wrong side of these 50/50s.

They are fully aware of this too btw. Stubbs getting reeled out in the media this week. Their players surrounding and pressurising the ref.

A few 50/50s here and there, a few extra minutes of added time. These are the differences that translate into points.

We really need a camera angle from behind the players to know for sure.

It looks like Dessers foot is not placed directly in front of their players, which would be a foul.

It's to his side and in the natural position you'd expect it to be in running beside soneone.

The reason he kicks Dessers as he swings his leg outwards into Dessers path.

So he is impeding Dessers not the other way around.

Here is the definition of that rule

Impeding the progress of an opponent means moving into the opponent’s path to obstruct, block, slow down or force a change of direction when the ball is not within playing distance of either player

Note the part in bold which certainly was not the case
