Tav's time is up.

Didn't see him create anything going forward and was a complete liability at the back that they exploited time after time.

He needs to go this summer.

Copy and paste for the next game, the game after that and on and on.

But hey he’s “disappointed” :megaanguish:

Ok for those who have little to no football experience he played in 3 cracking balls, one was superb and meant for jefte running on to but he was already in the box. One was a free kick and another a cross.

But it's easy with Tav to just blame him. Tavs done and needs to leave now but fuck me you'd think ridvan was csfu

Ridvan was by far the worse of the two full backs tonight. Three games on the bounce where he just seems incapable of finding his own player with a pass that isn't 5 yards.

Glad we've got him for 5 years though, as the chairman was keen to stress to us back when we qualified for the CL.

Yes, we do tend to remember the crosses that go screaming across the face of our goal more often!!

It’s not objective though, it’s like the ones he wins have never happened. I certainly can’t be fucked going back to watch the game to count them but would be interested to know how many he won vs lost, and how many interceptions he made. That’s before taking into consideration how he protects the ball when he’s in possesssion and anything he does going forward.

Thought he was decent going forward.

But he was getting done every time he faced a 1 on 1.

Yilmaz should be getting slaughtered for that as well. In fact, Yilmaz was fucking garbage again tonight.

Yilmaz is so bad he struggles to kick the ball cleanly

Who the fuck decided he could take corners??

His kicking is atrocious for a defender.

Whenever there's a slight bit of panic and the ball is in the air there's just no thought behind it. Bam. Ends up where it ends up.

Remember a few seasons ago when we protected the wide areas by doubling up or by midfielder dropping back when the full backs roamed forward, even central defenders shifting across?

Now in this system the 2 play centrally , the 3 will not or cannot drop back to help out and Souttar is in a daze or cannot decide whether to come or go when Tav is skinned.

Our full backs in this season and last have been on a hiding for nothing and teams find this area easy to target. Think back to Walter where in both terms he always had a natural centre defender at one full back position although to be fair he had players who would work their socks off and help out their colleagues. The 2 top teams in England do the same as Walter did albeit they have quality central defenders while we have lower league quality.

Our basic team organisation is flawed and honestly our onfield application is a disgrace.

Jack & Kamara allowed Tav & Barisic to bomb forward in their heydey and helped them defensively.

Under the current system, Barron & Dio can't be everywhere. As bad as Tav & Ridvan are defensively, they are also exposed. Tonight, Sterling made Davies look bad for the first goal by jogging back.

If the manager can't see that teams are exploiting our fullbacks, then God help us.

I don’t understand why Diomande hasn’t been allowed to continue hitting corners. Thought his corners were decent in the cup final against them in May

Just taken right off them again now

Aye ,our corners have been woeful for a while now.  From both sides .

I watched Jefte's YouTube video from Fluminese ( yes , I know ) and he seemed pretty good at them .

The amount of times he goes up and then just jogs back to his position is infuriating.

Or loses the ball, stops and throws his hands in the air - while some cunt is tearing into the space he’s left.
Our disappointed captain

Jefte appears to have a decent cross so he'd be the obvious one, I'd have thought

Can’t imagine he has much drive left in him.

Go from playing in a decent team quality wise, getting to a European final.

To this shit show must be pretty deflating.

One good player out followed by one dud in.

Looks like he's checked out, not sure if he's had his heart set on a move this summer and for whatever reason it hasn't materialised, but he's looked well off it so far this season, form can fluctuate but the captain's attitude should always be spot on from the first whistle of the season.
