We definitely need more goals around the team, but maybe with more control in midfield we'd create more chances, who knows.  Issue with Lawrence is the lack of legs, and I'd fear against the better teams in particular we'll get run over in midfield.  Think it would be worth trying it out, we're not exactly blessed with great options in there.

Not convinced Lawrence has shown enough to warrant sticking with him as the best/only option. Hopefully he improves on Saturday.

No issue with that in bigger games but when teams sit in we can’t have Sterling, Barron and Diomande in middle.

Basically leaving the goalscoring to the front three.

I would honestly put Hagi in Diomandes place at least to see if he is the answer.Im sure if the gaffer told him yours is the ten for the season he would want to stay and maybe save us buying a midfielder until next summer and spend the money on another needed position.

Hagi has played about 100 games for us, we all know he isn't t the answer.

Hagi isn't good enough to be starting for us, in any position.

He is miles better than  Wright,Dowell and Lawrence who are all first picks.Who you going to bring off the bench in the next few weeks if those 3 are your starters?

People doing that thing with Hagi where he gets better the longer he is away from the team.

If you understand it correctly people are stating that he would be a better option than some of the squad currently playing. If the starting 11 is mince then what is the bench? He is an internationalist so at least better than our whole bench

On what planet is Dowell a first pick?

Clement started him in the Ross County defeat in last season's run in which cost us the league.

Sterling was on the bench and came on at left back.

I think Clement rates Dowell as highly as Lawrence , sadly as they are both limited.

That’s not how it works.

Watch and see him playng more and more.Manager hasnt shipped him out like Lammers etc and he is a worse player

Lammers was far easier to move on than Dowell.

The fact you've named an isolated match 6 months ago as an example shows he isn't a first pick.

'Being an internationalist' is honestly one of the worst arguments in terms of proving a players quality.

Matondo is an internationalist and is absolute dogshit.

The 3 you mentioned aren't good enough to be playing for us either. Lawrence at a push, has shown glimpses but that's all its been

I don't see Hagi having any impact on this team if he were brought in out of the cold

Really want to see Propper and Cerny get at least an hour. Issue is if they start along with lethargic Tav and immobile Lawrence then we might not have tge energy needed. Sterling probably won't be risked for more than a half either as he's also returning from injury. And as others have said Balogun is probably best suited for next midweek so should he be playing 3 games in 7 days?

Already fitness and injury is impacting us because the guys who should be no more than back ups are having to be played.

Butland

Tav Souttar Propper Yilmaz

Sterling Barron

Cerny Lawrence Jefte

Dessers

Would rather Balogun than Souttar but he probably can't do 3 games in a week and would rather him next week

Is this just a matter of getting the 11 best/in form players on the park.

There are only 3 proper attacking players in there…

The Ross County defeat was 8 league games ago and Dowell has been largely unavailable for selection since then , he will be in the starting line up soon when Lawrence gets another inevitable injury.

If we get rid of and replace Cantwell and Hagi he'll be lucky to make the squad.
