In order:

1. deal today at 3.29pm

2. CVA forced through if HMRC end up <25%

3. CVA accepted by HMRC on basis of best return for Treasury

only then are we on to:

4. newco buys out business/assets from Administrator

Do you know how much the actual tax bill is that we're disputed? Reports of 49m have been bandied about but I was never sure whether that was how much the actual bill was or how much it could be after the tribunal?

TIA.

Then this fn TAX CASE rears its head and lets say we lose

what then

How does this work?

Heid spinning

In all honesty, as long as something happens before the end of March it doesn't matter..

People seem to think that we'll switch companies from The Rangers Football Club ltd, and jump over to The Rangers FC group or something similar.

We'd still be The Rangers, it's similar to what Celtic did with their Celtic Football and Athletic Club in '94 IIRC.

Whyte ramped it up to £75m yesterday, so who knows?

It means they know they fucked up and don't intend to challenge our appointment any more considering the court ruling in our favour.

They are now unsecured creditors.

Which in a nutshell means that they will receive a fraction of what they expected to RE any tax bill, yes?
