simplythebest 11,453
He's not even done fuck all wrong. He shouldn't need to apologise to anyone.I don't want him sacked but he's clearly done something wrong
Columbo 588
Stupid thing to do even if it may not actually affect his performance on the pitch. His decision to bet can cause the perception to arise that he has no loyalty to Rangers.Personally provided he gives his all for our football club then that's absolutely fine with me. His performances have been better so far this season and hopefully that continues when he returns
KingKirk 25,647
Even black said since he opened the account the SFA have a record of every bet placed. So I ask this why did the SFA decide to act now? Why not 2 year ago whilst at hearts

mitre_mouldmaster 21,509
Sandaza was partaking in tapping up pretty much, even if it was fake.Tapping up is an offence which is regarded poorly in football, but its not that big a deal in the world of employment law. Industrial tribunals dont really tend to think favourably for football having its own specific employment rules, hence the whole bosman thing.Clubs or players caught tapping up in football would be more open to 'footballing sanctions' rather than legal ramifications. If there was a very specific clause written into the employment contract, it might offer a big more weight, but even then, the contract would probably be over ruled at the tribunal.Offence would be worthy of a formal warning at most in my opinion. KingKirk 25,647
Another positive I can take from this is he did his interview through the club....he could have made money giving a rag the exclusive but he did it the right way! I've read snippets from Keevins and English critising him for not talking to the press but that to me shows a step forward from our club and dealing with things in-house! What I would like to know is how can the media still get a hold of his interview even know its done through our channel
rangersross 6,530
He made an error of judgement. I'm happy to draw a line under it, but I hope it matures him.
TheLawMan 6,240
There has been people given abuse on here for betting against their own team. This is one of our players who thought we were so shite that we would draw against east fukkin stirling. If he had done that when The Goalie and ian Fergie were in the team, he would have booted black and blue.

DelightfulDennis 123
If he had put a large amount of money on Rangers not to win then i'd be concerned. It's clear he's just put on a long odds £5 multiple without putting much thought into it. Time to move on.
CaptainAmerica18 846
He's bet against us once, on an 8 team accumulator and then came on the park and scored a winning goal to put his own bet down If he had scored an OG or got sent off to try and profit from it then yes I'd be outraged, but he hasn't. delamonty 992
Betting on us to draw is betting against us. Should have been shown the door. Our club needs to grow a pair here.So.. it's now ok to do this?
stewaj3 1,446
He's no the best at getting interviewed anyway.. Although he did manage to get the right things across.Good enough for me, although I think this is the case of a molehill being turned into a mountain by our biased press in this country. The Godfather 71,893
Not a fan of him as a man or a footballer.I don't see him as a Ranger and this just furthered my view.

simon 1,743
At least he has been man enough to come out and apologise to us. I am happy to draw a line under the whole thing. He knows it was stupid, he's been punished and he's apologised. We can't ask for much more than that.

Craig53 326
Think it's interesting that Jim Spence was crying about people abusing him in the street, yet journalists are happy to show up at Black's door when his daughter is about...One rule for one, one for another. woodvale1690 43
I just can't take to him at all. If reporters are turning up at his door then shame on them.what do you expect, rangers player being corrupt they nearly said match fixing, well the o'scoish medeha would make you believe, but when you look at the angela heggarty article, wow no surprise, they are so obsessed
